I've got a good buddy up there (I tried to call, but I think the lines might be down, and he likely has left). The trees are pretty dense up there. The devastation is very real and could be extremely expansive.
Yes, the phone lines have been down all morning. Everyone seems to be evacuating to Chico. It is truely devastating. I hope your friend is safe @BigHugsCA

I grew up in the Sierra foothills but about 100 miles to the south ... My heart goes out to everyone affected ... it looks like the entire town was damaged, more than 25,000 people live there! What a disaster
@salvadanish It is heartbreaking. My mom lives in the town next to Paradise. I’ve been there many times. I can’t even imagine it being gone
