I don't know the OP's reasons for seeking a professional, but with my clients it is often about more than just "touch needs". Wording it differently might allow his parents to see it for more than just "prostitution without the sex". While I see the benefit for people as you stated, to get their touch needs met without the complications of a relationship, I also know there is often a lot more to the service than just that. It's often more about the connection and being in a safe space where you are heard and accepted for who you are. Most people don't get these needs met in their daily life because of how disconnected our society has become, and having a place to get these needs met can do wonders for your mental health, self-esteem, and confidence. All of these things makes you even more open to potentially finding these connections for "free" in the real world. Sure you can get there without the help of a professional cuddler, but it can be more difficult for some people to get from point A to point C without the aid of point B.
