What to do in addition to cuddling

General question here. What types of things do people like to do during a cuddle session that isn't actually cuddling? I like to cuddle but after a few hours my mind starts to get pretty restless. Some of the things I enjoy are; Netflix, talking, massages, Instagram, cat videos, reading star charts, coloring, palm reading, blanket forts, inventing weird ways to get across the room, and buddy stretching. I've met some people who enjoy personal grooming like getting their ears cleaned, hair brushed, eyebrows plucked or nails done. All fun but maybe not my ham jam. Anyways kinda curious what other people enjoy doing?

  • Love this! I like playing question games, coloring, and reading books.

I usually never run out of things to say...

  • @patTheCuddler , I hear ya. I love long chats and long cuddles.

  • I have floated in a float tank at a spa with a client before. Separate pods just to clarify. It was refreshing. Pizza in bed? No one said you couldn't have good conversation eating a pizza before cuddling. Bored? How about a board game! Challenging the mind can get you all warmed up to each other and more comfortable to settle in for a good cuddle session. Yoga or stretching or breathing exercises.

  • Well if it's a pro cuddler session I can't imagine playing games and stuff during a cuddling session. I would just want to cuddle. But if it's off the clock then it sounds lovely playing board games and doing things you might do with a friend

Nothing too crazy. Draw a pentacle on the floor, walk around it (widdershins) while chanting backwards in Latin; watch as the room goes dim, the ground becomes the color and texture of badly-healed scar tissue, and unseen mouths scream in agony.

    Cozy stuff.

@hogboblin, I'm pretty sure that's how you summon me for cuddles.

Make sure to place a mug of hot tea (preferably green) at the easternmost tip of the pentacle, two books in an agglutinative, mora-timed language on the points to either side, and a set of weapons of any kind on the two points remaining to be sure you get me. If the tea cools before I appear, the summoning's failed—so it may be best to start with it boiling (ceramic coasters are no bad thing).

...Using my truename helps, too. Do you know the Latin for "judge... [full name redacted]"?

More seriously: During a cuddle, I like conversation, moving pictures, books, or even just music. Playing with hair is nice too, and then of course there's the back, shoulder, and foot rubs. I think I'm getting better at those.

  • @DarrenWalker to paraphrase a very old cigarette commercial, I’d walk a mile for a foot rub.

I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet and legs and my feet hurt almost all the time. There used to be an Asian-run massage business near me that gave awesome foot massage for $10. Then they got shut down for prostitution. I never witnessed any suggestion of that, but I digress. I’d love a cuddle buddy who rubbed feet happily.

@mickcuddle: My mom's on her feet a lot, so I want to get really good at giving foot rubs. Do the most good in whatever brief time I can catch her sitting down, you know? She's 53, she shouldn't be hopping around like this. [sigh] Oh well... I suppose that's what happens when you have ten kids and your youngest is only nine years old.

In any case, I'd be happy to practice on you if we ever cuddled. I think my biggest setback at the moment is cold hands: I heat them up, they cool right back down. Still working on a solution for that one.

  • @DarrenWalker - there are some excellent videos on Youtube that teach you how to massage feet. There are also several good books on the subject. A good one is "Foot Massage" by Renee Tanner.

  • Here are some ideas I have listed on my site. I plan to add more. My favourite thing to do is read aloud to clients.

@UKGuy: Nice! Since I mostly read fiction, I tend to forget there's a whole universe of helpful nonfiction out there—and of course there would be YouTube videos. [facepalm] That's what I get for using YouTube mainly as a music streaming service: overlooked resources. Thanks for the tips!

  • We have watched YouTube videos, I've given massages, and there's always a lot of long conversations.

I just love giving full body massages.
Longer sessions can include sharing a meal, as I have done on numerous occasions. One cuddlist brought food and another actually prepared lunch for me more than once. She was a superb cook, I might add.
I also like watching youtube music videos, comedy skits or gags, and funny home videos to get us in a happy mood.
