"Amateur" cuddlers cuddle for free. Professional cuddlers charge a fee. I think there's a forum post on this too about the pros and cons of each. :)

One charges. (Pro) One doesn't. (Amateur/Casual Cuddler)

    To add....

I will say the benefit of a professional can be positive for many people in a sense of understanding and structure in a new environment. The idea of touch and acceptance is a taboo thing that I feel goes against the basic biology and psychology of the human being. Having a psych degree, plethora of non-judgement, and combo of genuine enjoyment to betterment of myself and others is a thing of appreciation in the sense of non-judgement in a period in someones life that may need that platonic closeness. Not everyone will be me, nor think this way so easily.

And, I will play devils advocate, and say just the basic touch and need of the human experience is a priceless commodity that few are willing to be vulnerable towards, and no price can be made for peace of mind. Do not cheapen your experiences, but do not hold unto the concept of a service being paid for as would any holistic doctor or therapist you would seek -- to help enrich your life.

Good luck in your cuddle journey friend. <3

  • One cuddles for free and one charges, you basically just need to fill out a form to be a pro.

Adding to this: pros generally know what they're doing and will make you the most important person in the cuddle. With an enthusiast, things are a bit more likely to be awkward and you definitely shouldn't expect to be their top priority.

  • @DarrenWalker Yes. I am working on arranging an enthusiast cuddle for my own self-care needs. An easy bet that it won't be like a professional cuddle session with me. The goal is to lower the pressure on my boyfriend to do all the battery recharging with me, not increase it, ha. Sessions are fulfilling for me (and I LOVE them), but they drain my battery because of all the attention and focus on the client. It's just not the same. Just the same as I will see a massage therapist if I need a massage or a doctor if I broke my arm. If I am in need of cuddles, to be nurtuted, never judged, accepted, no worries about boundaries, etc, I would choose a professional. I wish I had a professional nearby...
