Questions to ask?

[Deleted User]JinxWolf90 (deleted user)

I'm brand new at being a Pro Cuddler. I signed up, expecting it to be a while before I received a client request. Boy, was I wrong!

I have a client request after less than a day which is great, don't get me wrong; I'm just wondering what sort of questions do I ask? They are an hour away so would it be wrong of me to ask for the travel fee before I leave?

I guess I'm suddenly hesitate because this potential client has no photo, no karma (said they cuddled twice before - and I have no karma so I suppose I cannot judge too much there), and my brain went into overload of fear. Also I feel they didn't read my profile since they asked if I was available on a day not specified on my profile but I did correct them and they picked another day so no biggie there, I guess.

I was thinking of asking the following questions:
1. What are they expecting from this session?
2. How long are they wanting?
3. There is a travel fee and how will they be paying?

Once those are answered, I was going to ask:
1. For a photo.
2. Exact place of where they want to meet.

Any other suggestions? Thank you for all and any advice!

  • No karma, no photo, not deal breakers (especially karma) but these are caution flags. Your potential client gave you a possible route. He says he has cuddled twice. In light of no Karma, ask him for a reference from one of his prior cuddle partners. Yes, he’d likely need their permission to give you contact info, but if he cannot secure that, that’s a caution flag, too.

You are probably aware that your hourly rate is very low (but in my mind, not unreasonable while you are starting out.) You absolutely should ask him to pay the travel fee up front, and with your inexpensive hourly rate, I’d be tempted to ask advance payment for travel+the first hour fee.

At $40 you will get requests closer to home, and with fewer flags. So hold your ground with this guy, and if he balks, it wasn’t meant to be.

[Disclaimer: I’m far from an expert in this area, but my friends and former work colleagues often name my grasp of common sense and common wisdom to be among my few blessings]

Let’s give the client here the benefit of the doubt , he has prior encounters with snuggle buddies or cuddlist , who , don’t leave client reviews on their website .

An female enthusiast, on this website , who want the most anonymous presence here , won’t leave karma ( and will ask that Cuddle partner for some privacy )that will only identify them as an active cuddler, to anyone browsing profiles. Once someone’s cuddle activity is displayed ,in someone else’s profile.they are bound to get messages , from all sorts of people offering up Cuddle proposals. If that is in fact ,the penultimate reason the client displays no feedback , he is unfairly being red flagged, IMO.

I think the Op is on the right track with question 1.

As far as prepayments? A reasonable requirement , would be only the amount of the cancellation fee , but only collectible once that calander date has arrived ( ie i day before the scheduled session)But the pro cuddler , should understand that it is kind of awkward if they can’t keep a cuddle date and has to return a deposit.

Ask as many questions as you have, ask for a pic for sure and if you don't feel comfortable donot go for it. There will be more people in future for sure who want to cuddle:) good luck

  • I think you're on the right track. Always, ALWAYS be sure to get a picture of them before ever meeting in person. It is important to be able to recognize them on sight. I also always ask what their boundaries are, because their responses give me a sense of whether or not I'd be comfortable with the person. Always follow up with your own boundaries and rules, and make sure they agree to them.

On another note, since you're fairly new and a little nervous, there are several additional precautions you can take. Always tell at least two people where you are going and how long you will be there, and tell them that you will call when the session is completed. Also, request the client bring some type of state-issued ID. I tell my clients beforehand that I require ID and that I will be taking a photo of it for my records. This helps to protect you in case anything should happen. Always collect payment up front at the start of the session. And let the client know that you are taking all of these precautions for your safety and theirs. If they have any issue with any of it whatsoever, that's a red flag for me and I do not schedule them.

"Let’s give the client here the benefit of the doubt" - that's exactly what you should never ever do! You are meeting a stranger you don't know and have never met. He could be a sex offender, pedophile or other criminal for all you know. So take every precaution possible. I'd advise arranging a meeting in a public place beforehand. You look like a very trusting person but sometimes that can come back to bite you.

  • I think a professional cuddler with some experience can make more judgement calls than one who has been on the site for 24 hours and has an offer to meet a guy who hasn’t much to establish his safety. She is willing to work for $40. As I said, she’s going to get requests galore at that price, she can afford to be a little more cautious right out of the chute.

    Good point @UKGuy .
My benefit of the doubt comment wasn’t to create peace of mind for the Op , but rather to help construct intake questions , for the pro cuddler , to ask the client .
I think there are “newbie” questionnaires”, for newbie never hired a pro cuddler client , and , veteran client questions , to ask a “ hobbiest “ type of client .
Since the client claims prior cuddles ( I’m not sure if it pro or enthusiast) , and his profile doesn’t offer evidence of that , the OP could send him the appropriate intake form .( specific to experience level) I don’t know how invasive someone would want to get .
