Fetal Cuddling and the Nightmare of Existence

Greetings, all.

I was curious: how many of you are fond of assembling artificial wombs (out of blankets, pillows, etc) and cuddling with someone while inside?

This can be very comfy—especially if those involved live in a colder climate.

Furthermore, how many adhere to a strict no-conversation policy while in utero? My main thing is going back to a time where I had yet to be cursed with an excess of consciousness, so I don’t appreciate discussion.

Sometimes, after being expelled into the uncaring universe with my cuddle partner, it can be fun to scream and babble incoherently as a pair. This quickly gives way to shrieked sentence fragments, appeals to an absent creator, confused mutterings, and then a prolonged death rattle while we both sink to the floor. That whole sequence of events is representative of the brief interlude between non-existence and oblivion that we refer to—with unwarranted gravitas—as life.

Just curious if anyone else is into this sort of thing. LOL. ???❤️❤️❤️

  • Sounds like a fetish to me

...uh, no? Nothing of what I wrote even remotely hinted at sexual gratification. Unless you’re repressing a fetish for fetuses, and are projecting that into my thread?

That would be entirely on you, and I’d ask you to take your fetish elsewhere.

  • I’m not judging. Whatever you like is your thing.

  • If I had "f.u." levels of money, I'd probably my spend it on a sensory deprivation tank for the same reasons. so relatable.

Thanks, buddy. I’d be more appreciative if “your thing” was “not injecting aspects of my sexual fantasies into posts that have got nothing to do with them”. Or, at the very least, “contributing something of value to a serious discussion instead of being rudely dismissive/patronizing.”

I’d do the very same if I had obscene amounts of money. There’s one place where I live that does “float tanks”, but I’ve yet to go there.

Everything about the experience just seems lovely.

  • @pmvines

I’ve never seen Fringe. I’ll be sure to do some research, especially of the scenes you’ve mentioned. Thanks! ?

  • If the shoe fits....

  • Frimge is amazing and Walter is my spirit animal !

  • Also Leonard Nimoy. Rip. ❤

  • Ah forgot about his part! Came late in the series but was a cool role nonetheless?

  • @hogboblin I'm not sure what's in your area, but there's True Rest Spa - saltwater float tanks up here, I've gone a handful of times it is amazing. I definitely recommend going. I've tried with and without music and I prefer it to be silent and dark... just drifting through space and time. Sublime.

  • @TouchIsTLC

There’s a place called Salt2o. I haven’t been there, yet, but I mean to rectify that in the not-too-distant future.

  • There are a few in my area though I would be highly tempted to just claw my way out like an alien being birthed.
