This community depends on clear communication and ongoing education. I've been on here since summer 2017 and have noticed the traffic, forum participants, and the constant well-deserved ban. I urge new cuddlers on here to read the rules, know the rules, ask questions, but don't blame anyone else if you're a troll (but I digress).
Much like we expect young adults entering adulthood and higher education to be able to read and write, to be accountable, and to act responsibly, this community also has a series of foundational standards and concepts that get missed, intentionally misrepresented, or forgotten along the way:
Platonic means "intimate and affectionate but not sexual." Full stop. No. Really. Guys, if your intentions are clear and if you have the great luck of connecting with someone and setup a cuddle and if you might get an erection - it doesn't mean anything more than that, and it's one of those TMI/don't share moments. Breath, keep breathing, and cuddle. Use your big head, not the little one. I'm not going to speak for the ladies other than noting many would-be professionals are banned for a plethora of reasons.
Sexuality tangents and threads happen every day. No one on CuddleComfort is asking you to cuddle anyone you don't want to cuddle. Don't want to cuddle guys? Then don't, but don't rag on those that do. Your opinion extends to your body and your actions, no anyone elses'. In the words of my immortal mentor: "my body, my choices."
Online behavior. There is a certain level of anonymity in the online world, but there is also a certain level of responsibility in how we represent ourselves and interact with others. Courtesy goes a long ways. No one owes you or anyone a response. Met with silence? Let it go (cf Frozen) and move on. Not getting ANY responses: try filling out your profile, add pictures, and again, be courteous. If you're demanding and aggressive, I highly suggest signing up for any news site as a political know-it-all analyst. Bottom line: we may have divergent or conflicting beliefs and opinions, but everyone is on here is here to 1) connect and 2) cuddle. The narrow path is balance without being a dick.
This community introduced me to concepts that were way above my understanding when I first came here. I've had some great one-on-one cuddles, and I feel like I have the minimum requirements for a CuddleComfort Community College Associates Degree: CCAA.
In my continuing education, I hope to learn more about and discover the higher-level graduate levels of tandem or multi-cuddlers, and cuddle parties, which frankly seem overwhelming to me. Someday, maybe we'll all get that Bachelors of Cuddle Arts. I have had the great fortune of meeting several professionals and I personally think they have their Masters and are here to help us learn and grow.
Care to share YOUR experiences so far with CuddleComfort and your knowledge/understanding of:
1) platonic,
2) sexuality,
3) online behavior,
4) one-on-one cuddles,
5) tandem cuddles, or
6) group/party cuddles
