christianity is not a religion and god is real

Firstly i just want to admit and i'm not ashamed to admit this but i am a born-again christian. I have been a christian since after i turned 18 because i truly understood this "religion".

Secondly as it appears online, sites that ask your religion and (christianity appears) and everyones view, christianity is always classed a religion. but why does everyone think this? Being a christian is having a relationship with god and a-lot of people don't understand this because they have never experienced him or the holy spirit in their lives. I have a huge passion for JESUS yes i said his name wow he actually has a name, everyone that doesn't want to bring this up is either calling Jesus: mother nature or other names because they don't want to offend anyone who doesn't believe in god or on tv.

Thirdly, there are a lot of people in the world who hate god and don't believe. Why does everyone do this when heaven and hell is a real thing. When people on youtube film that their houses are haunted with ghosts and we see white orbs passing. PEOPLE this is a real thing and those spirits that people say in their videos are actually called demons who are bringing fear into their lives.

So this is my point of view to all those people who think god is not real and that chritianity is a religion.

    Personally, I would say a religion is a system of faith and worship in which someone believes in and worships at least one superhuman power. If that superhuman power is the god of the Bible, it's a Biblical (hence godly) belief.

    Christianity's social expression and function is, very simply, not much different from other faiths. The claim that Christianity is not a religion would appear to be as empty as the Roman Catholic Church's claim that the saints it prays to are not deities, even while they are the target of believers' prayers and their cult images receive offerings and are carried around in public processions.

    Similarly, the "personal relationship" of some Christians with Jesus is not appreciably different from the relationship of a Hindu with Vishnu or any of the other deities. Yes, according to Christianity, Jesus is a deity who once was incarnated as a man; but Vishnu has several incarnations, including Krishna and Rama, and the 'relationship' between a Christian devotee and Jesus is not perceptibly different to an outsider's eyes than the relationship of a Vaishnava with Krishna.

    A superhuman power is a made up thing or something thats demonic which is a made up belief system that someone has created from the devil and have you ever heard of witchcraft? Now thats a real thing and so is being a christian all these other belief systems are just demons or people crucifying Jesus, (atheism). So don't be rude and picking on me because of what i have to say and share. Clearly your picking on a women who trying to get her point across and your not having a very good argument about my topic. so if you want to comment something nice plz dont offend my "religion" or relationship with god as it really is called.

    Ah, so that's how you're defining "superhuman power"! The god of the Bible, in your mind, is not superhuman. He isn't greater than human. He doesn't transcend humanity. He is not a power. Edit: A superhuman power—that is, a power greater than humanity—is "a made up thing or something that's demonic." Not God. God doesn't qualify.

    @BOO_cuddles: Take a deep, soothing breath, sister. The Lord is always with you, even when people are messing with you on an internet forum.

    Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that the Bible is true and accurate. God's power is greater than human. God is superhuman—he is greater than human. And he is a power. The god of the Bible is a superhuman power. His power is superior to the power of any human, and it is right and proper that you worship him as he desires.

    This being the case, Christianity is a religion. You are worshiping a superhuman power: God. All other religions are false. False religions based on false beliefs.

    i would say that the definition of religion where it equalizes God to a superhuman is incompaitble with Christian beliefs. However, there is more than one definition for religion. I think the more widely accepted definition of religion is that it is a system of beliefs.

    I understand Boo Cuddles frustration with the former definition. Darren is just needling you; I think he is very much aware of the more widely accepted definition. Tsk tsk

    It seems like people only have issues with the definition of religion because of personal biases—usually an investment in a particular religion that they feel is above other systems of belief.

    @BOO_cuddles you have professed your Christianity on a forum accessible to all members of CuddleComfort. Just as you expect people to promote your view, so can you expect detractors. It's a safe bet that @DarrenWalker would not be your only opponent in this regard, and for better or worse, he is well known for challenging views & arguments presented in the forums on his own accord and by his own logic.

    Moreover, it can be argued that your post promotes Christianity as the end-all-be-all, a point to which those who practice other religious beliefs or not at all may take offense.
