Sadly, there are very few cuddlers in my area (South Carolina). I've messaged a couple that have been on within the past few months, but no reply. Could it be that this is something new that will take time for others to catch on?

Yes, this is a misunderstood niche that will take time to build some momentum. I live in the 5th largest U.S. city and understand what you're going through. After 10 weeks I am finally communicating regularly with two, but they are both over 100 miles away. In the meantime, I'm making lots of new friends all over the country and learning a lot about the community. Keep at it.
I am going to local events on meetup and trying to recruit 2 people to join the site. And if they can each recruit two and so forth, we might be able to jumpstart this.
