Cuddle art and inspiration

Has cuddling ever inspired you to create any art, whether it’s a painting/drawing, a song, a poem, or any other form of art? If so, share it here!

I’ll start. After attending my first ever cuddle party, I wrote a spoken-word style poem. That party was life changing to me. I spent a lot of time working on this poem, several months at least, and the first draft looked completely different than the final product. I shared it with some of my writer friends, and even they were brutally honest and basically said it was crap. 🤣 Thank God though, because the final draft turned out great, and I’m very proud of it. Anyway, here it is. It’s called “Hell Yes.”

Hell yes, I need affection!
No ma’am, I don’t mean sex.
Let’s get dressed in our finest pajamas,
Forget all our drama, and hold each other
The way that our mamas did at the age of two
Because after all, our childhood desires never expire.

Hell yes, I would love to fall asleep behind you,
My face buried in your hair, and wake up with my arm half asleep!
Where have you been all my life?
I’m not asking you to be my wife or even my lover,
But if you just run your fingers through my beard,
Then hell yes, I could learn to love you!

Be my guest, be my human vest,
Put my snuggles to the test, and lay your sweet head on my chest.
Hear my heart beat in your ear and wash away your fear.
Just tell me what you so desire,
And then maybe you can understand the freedom

Of a HELL YES!!!

Your turn! Post your cuddle art here!

    The two held each other,
    Their flesh melting like candle wax;
    It coursed in pale rivulets,
    Then crashed together in waves.

    Bones shifted, grinded in imitation
    Of industrial machinery that thrums—
    That groans and clanks.
    Ribs cracked and spread,
    Drew closer while opening wide—
    Collagen hands with sharp fingertips
    Seeking one another out.

    The two became one,
    A squelching mass
    Of organic material.

I wrote this poem in about ten minutes. I have not revised it at all.

  • Very cool poem! I really love the first stanza…the idea of “flesh melting like candle wax” is a bit like how cuddling feels.
