I just feel that being a male we always exert dominance and I feel like it shows strength more than comfort and I have felt it from a past cuddled before I found out about this..
Yes, definitely IMHO.
Providing that the male cuddler who particularly exudes strength, dominance, leadership ability etc. can balance those perceived qualities with vulnerability, gentleness, humility etc. and be sure to communicate well with his partner throughout the whole experience, I would say as an initial thought that _with the right guy, __things could be just as comforting.
But lining up all those ducks at once may sometimes be a big ask! Probably as always, communication and creating the right personal chemistry and ambience would be key...but even after the thoughtful male cuddler has done all these...I can see how there are likely to be different responses.
