Human Touch - The Concern of Cuddling Strangers

In these harsh times of the pandemic, anxiety, depression and loneliness are on an all time high. This also produces low self-esteem. It is almost the break down of our spirits. Enter the option to cuddle with some to seek healness.

Can it so?

There's is a possibility that seeking such therapy might be more damaging than healing. For some cases, folks coming here can be non-single and lack the level of intimacy with their partners. This then can cause, I believe, great confusion emotionally speaking. While one can heal by finally having someone that gives us attention and safety, the chaos on the home front will most likely increase.

The fix then is not that, more so in this web service. I have seen a great many wonderful ladies whom are professional cuddlers and add to that, most are stunning women. Very easy to the eye and indeed attractive. This might be true in the male category. For the person having intimacy issues at home, is this place a fix?

I begin to wonder if the end result of being intimate with such beautiful people, is more damaging than what we expect?

Perhaps the fix is really not seeking a fix here rather try to solve the issue 1st with the partner.

What are your thoughts?

PS: I am such person, whose partner dislikes human touch.

  • The perceived need to look outside ourselves for healing is the core issue we must all eventually face.

We believe that a cuddle buddy, a life partner, or someone outside ourselves will bring us fulfillment.

    The fix lies within.

  • I believe it is not the fix you need... And at least this cuddler doesn't want to be a part of seeking cuddling outside of the home if your partner is not ok with it... It is not my desire to be thrust into someone's relationship... There have been cuddlees that seemed to be trying to hide this from someone and I did not accept their request because that is not anything I want anything to do with... Nothing is worth the drama that brings...

    Precisely. I believe the same!

Seeking healing through outside means may be necessary as a start to travel the journey of self-healing.
Knowing that there are people who can and will accept you unconditionally, without the need for sexual intimacy, can at times be just the thing. Some people may just need that ear and a touch on the shoulder, others may need a full spooning to get this message through.
Either case and everything in between is part of touch therapy.

To seek this out may be just as important as reading something like "unshakeable" or attending a workshop that is specifically engineered for self development.

We had a similar conversation at work yesterday , 2 wonderful ladies spoke their truths , one said she doesn’t life physical attention as far as kisses/ touch / hugs .... the other one said she doesn’t feel right if she doesn’t receive touch / hugs & kisses because she’s needy in that sense , they both recommended us to read the 5 love languages with our partners/ significant others ... & it’s a way to see which one you are & your partner happens to be, they offered that compromise will soon follow ...

  • What a great and big question. I've observed that sometimes getting some touch/affection/attention can help one to remember that one is worthy of that, which can help to either accelerate a choice point in one's current relationship between pushing for more of what one needs or exiting. I think some people have a situation that they aren't going to leave for one reason or another, and this is a nice adjunct to that. Perhaps at times paying to have someone lovely cuddle you who might not cuddle you without $ might end up getting you fixated on a dream of what you "could have" and cause you to be ungrateful for what you do have, potentially ruining the chances you do have for focusing on your everyday partner instead of some dream of a more ideal partner that is just based on a contrived cuddle experience. Grass is always greener so to speak. Relationships get hard! Most of us lack the skills and depth and staying power to make them more than just two people in quiet desperation.

There, I named a few possibilities.

    Thanks @Tazman5307, sweet of you.

Thanks @quixotic_life ! I've been working on those bows. :D

  • Everyone has such good responses! I’ll only add this:
Only the individual cuddler knows their reason for coming here. Each person here is responsible to check their motivations and make sure they’re in line with the site’s purpose.

I’ve seen people come to the realization that they were here for the wrong reasons (romantic intentions). They left the site.

    Self-awareness, it’s important :)

  • @cricket26 - They left the site or they got the ban hammer?

  • @Mike403 Nope, the person i’m thinking about left of their own free will.

Definitely have seen the ban hammer though haha, sometimes wayyy after i thought it was necessary :open_mouth:
