  • All the blank male profiles on this website are really attracting the hopeful female enthusiasts.

Here’s to the year of the Pro!
    🥂

  • Can we expand on that a little?
    Like maybe...

Year of the Pro-liferation of Cuddles (Cuddlers and Cuddlees) and Normalizing Cuddling!!!

'Cause the boo-hoo over the lack of female enthusiasts has gotten old! ~ Let's do something about it?!

    ୧། ☉ ౪ ☉ །୨ <Yah!

    @quixotic_life Thank you!

  • 😅 this seems to be a topic that always works itself back around 🥊 😂😂

@timetocuddle07 do you understand that one of the reasons there are so few female enthusiasts is because of people like you? You and your non-existant profile. You've barely even bothered with the Facts fields, which are the easiest bit. No photo, a purposeless username, one line of useless text.

You claim to be 'nice' but the one thing that we can say with absolute certainty, based on the profile, is that you are not nice. Your profile expresses nothing other than a vague sense of contempt.

Please don't take this personally - it's not just you. Actually I'm not really angry at you at all, if it was just you it wouldn't matter. I'm angry at the buckets of profiles that are like that. It is therefore no surprise that so many women take one look at this place and run a mile.

And do you even begin to understand how insulting your post is to the female enthusiasts that are here?

It is outrageous that you should come and complain about the lack of female enthusiasts. You are actively contributing to it.

Oh, and while we're talking about contempt ... you haven't been on the forum very long so you probably haven't had the chance to notice this. Female professionals very rarely use the term 'pro'; they use the word 'professional'. There are occasional exceptions in both directions of course, but in general the only people who use the term 'pro' are men with blank profiles like yours.

You have basically two options now. You can be angry in response, or dismissive, or ignore me, or whatever.

Or, you can say, "D'you know what, I hadn't thought of it like that ..... hmmm .... something to think about."

@quixotic_life you are my hero, as ever. :)

  • [Deleted User]DrCuddleBug (deleted user)

@CuddleDuncan Lol. I'll attack you for 2 paragraphs and then say it's not personal. Too funny. I have much to say about what you have written here (and elsewhere) but it is my understanding that we are to refrain from personal attacks in the forums. I want to honor that. No, don't message me - I won't respond.

  • With respect and sincerity @DrCuddleBug, how could any of this be personal? The original poster has a completely blank profile. We know nothing about him.

  • @DrCuddleBug if you have much to say then I want to hear it. I have appreciated many of your posts, and fair criticism is not personal attack. If you want to say things not suitable for the forum, well, that's what PM is for.

@Importance I can appreciate that, but from the sheer number of uses of the personal pronoun, "you" it comes off rather personal.

  • edited January 2021

Ah yes, but was the 'you' truly second person singular, or was it really second person plural?

It's a trick question, obviously. The answer is 'both'. Although I appreciate there isn't really any way you could spot that until the third paragraph.

  • [Deleted User]DrCuddleBug (deleted user)

@CuddleDuncan nah - the first two paragraphs are clearly singular (and can be exegeted to show so).

I appreciate the offer to engage in some honest banter, but I spent a good part of my life in such entertainment. It was a hobby of sorts. Those days are behind me. To quote Michael Jackson (and others), "I'm a lover, not a fighter."

  • @cuddleduncan if anything the Karma has done things not when I did have words up. Or a pic I easily send a pic to others when its time to actually meet. You can't make a forum here without shooting the messenger.

  • I thought 2021 was the Year of the Ox, but I guess that shows how closed minded I am...

    @CuddleDuncan
Did you miss timetocuddle07's really good karma?

  • Whoa! Just because @introvme posted a pic that said "fight" doesn't mean you should. Gad Zukes!

Lol ~ @sethryan44 ~ When I read that I thought "Ah... Bull in a China Shop! Makes sense." But then while typing groaned, "Oh no... There's gonna be so much BS...!" 🤣

@DrCuddleBug ~ You have a profile pic now!! Yay!! 😊

@CuddleDuncan ~ Thank you for the mention, but holy heck my friend. I think if we want this to be a place where people feel welcome, we have to practice being welcoming. I know it gets exhausting when the same issues have to be tackled time and again, but I think we can at least make a concerted effort to try and make our points in a positive and productive way.

    For example:
"Hey there [new person] ~ Welcome! Yeah, you're right! There's currently a lack of female enthusiasts site wide, and many of us have been talking about ways to make the site more attractive to them."
"One thing that's been pointed out by many as, 'off-putting' are blank profiles. Once you've settled in, consider filling your's in a bit. There are many user's profiles you can look to for examples and to get ideas."
"Good call putting money into the site & your local economy too! Maybe that'll help generate some ad revenue too. Until then, all the best and good luck!"

And take out the parts related to contempt for contempt. Because, I know we all see things differently, but I read it as a more tongue in cheek statement with a, 🤷‍♂️ "meh, what are ya gonna do?" sort of affect, than contemptuous.

@HunterYoung your post was so funny it made me spit up my drink.

Oh, the karma of women you pay to cuddle you, it feels so sincere.

  • @Importance just because us pros get paid, doesn’t mean our karma isn’t sincere.

  • @Importance Very rarely have I seen cuddlers with less than 5 stars of karma. YouTube changed the rating system from a stars based one to a simple like and dislike system early on in it's life as there was rarely a middle ground.

  • @Importance 2 out of 5 recommend his massages!!! For me, that kind of intel is priceless because I'm stoked every time there's a prospect of getting a good massage as part of a cuddle!! Whoot! Yes please!!

  • @Sheena123 Absolutely, 100% on the Karma. No way would I leave good karma for someone who was otherwise and put another pro in a bad situation. Oh, that’s right...I used the term pro...apparently that’s not okay, though.

@CuddleDuncan Thanks again for the reminder of why I (and probably others) rarely post in the forum for fear of getting eviscerated in a non-personal way.

@timetocuddle07 Hurray for daring to post in the forum! May the odds be ever in your favor! 😂

@DrCuddleBug And @quixotic_life Thanks for infusing some logic and diplomacy into the thread.

@quixotic_life thanks for noticing 😊 (and I'd glad give you a massage as part of our cuddling. I've been told I have strong, skillful hands)

  • edited January 2021

Huh... It'd be kind of cool (and a pain in the...) if the star rating was on specific/individual traits and then were combined for an aggregate score. I don't know that it would change anything, but it could help highlight important characteristics in a cuddler.

@DrCuddleBug ~ Well then as soon as I can get down there to visit, I'll be hitting you up for one!!
    😉🤗

Like I’ve said before; The people of this website cater to the paying male and the working female. This isn’t much space left for any other opinion.

And there is a huge gap between putting another girl in a “bad situation” and an actual good cuddle buddy. I feel like the guys automatically get a good rating if they pay, are on time, are clean, and respect boundaries. What more could you possibly want from a client?

That doesn’t mean that I would want them in my arms.

You may love your job, but it’s still work.

  • @Importance - A karma rating is supposed to be just if they respected boundaries and so forth. Whether or not you like the person due to something they have no control over(such as their appearance) is subjective.

  • edited January 2021

Maybe we should not require the female professionals to post pictures then.

  • @Importance I’m guessing you have a problem with pro cuddlers? Just feeling a vibe here.

  • I don’t at all

  • I have a problem with blank male profiles

@Importance do you have an equally leveled problem with blank female profiles?

  • edited January 2021

I guess we're back to this old thread again, huh? lol

@Importance In all fairness, there are a fair amount of blank women's profiles, at least in my area. It's the men that suffer more of the lack of female profiles however, so the men stand to gain more by working on their profiles as you and CuddleDuncan pointed out, at least as far as the ratio allows, which is what timetocuddle brings up. And I'm open to other opinions :). Hopefully we can get more women to join CC!

@Sheena123 Thank you for saying that.

    @quixotic_life Well-stated.
