  • I think she meant it as “stop putting us on a pedestal” & “we all share the same wants & needs” @Mike403 ....

  • @introvme - That's what I meant... They are humans like everyone else, and not objects.

  • @Mike403 , I don’t think you’ve been following the conversation... if you read more into it & between the lines, maybe she does want to be lusted for & desirable for someone to selfishly want to give her that attention (it can’t be just anyone however, she describes exactly what she’s looking for) & if there’s no takers she’s even willing to pay for it very generously.

  • @introvme - again, that's exactly what I said. To treat people as humans...as in with their own wants and desires.

  • @squeakytoy ~ "It's against the TOS for enthusiasts to get money for cuddling, so he could get in trouble if he accepted that."

    Good catch!!!

  • @introvme - sigh Nevermind. I guessing what I'm trying to say isn't clear enough (or I'm not understanding the conversation which I did read)

  • @Mike403 its cool nevermind

@Importance Having looked at your profile, I already know I wouldn't make the cut, so keep your money. 🤣

  • Drinking is a red flag. I had a beer last night. I guess I'm out

  • @DrCuddleBug you & @OhioMike always come clutch with something hilarious! 😅😂🤣

@sethryan44 - Dude. Women aren't food. Not in jest. Not here. Not anywhere. [-Sid]

  • And there we have it, in a nutshell. The reason there so few female enthusiasts is expressed very clearly in the last few posts.

With attitudes like that kicking around, the mystery is that there are any at all.

  • @DarrenWalker

In fact, if the USA had a spirit animal it'd probably be a Ferengi

    Too funny, and agreed!
I just scared my cat, from the sudden laughter

    @CuddleDuncan huh?🤔

  • On topic, I would likely be flattered in this imaginary scenario.

@DrCuddleBug Now you did it. Here comes the thesis paper. Lol

  • 1) At face value, this thread rightly belongs in the Cuddle Requests forum.

    2) If the OP's post is offering money for non-pros, that's against the TOS and I'd move the thread entirely (which looks like a delete, but it's not).

    3) My moderator modus operandi: I'm not inclined to "delete" or close threads. Ya'll tend to self govern for the most part. I step in when 1) reported threads/comments contain personal attacks, 2) are against forum rules/principles, 3) and/or are intentionally creating havoc: granted, there are several who toe right up to that line - and we both know it. I try my best at fairness and looking at forum/community needs versus my own personal comfort/discomfort. Yes, I'm a moderator and an enthusiast, but a thread's validity, interest, viability, and participation aren't up to me - that's up to ya'll.

    Have a lovely day.

@Sideon thank you for the clarification. May I ask (sincerely), what constitutes a personal attack. I have considered addressing behavior I have noticed by particular individuals, but have not done so because I wasn't sure if that is considered a personal attack.

  • @DrCuddleBug - Name calling. Swearing. Disparaging.

I expect disagreements. I expect opposing views. People will focus on the most obtuse details, grammar, or spelling. People will take something out of context. People will not like a topic or opinion. All of which are fine - life isn't a Baskin Robbins sometimes, getting our particular flavor-fix and validation.

What I do expect are folks being able to communicate their ideas and thoughts without devolving into elementary school shouting matches. Or this scene from Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure:

    Thank you. That helps.

I would feel very uncomfortable and probably a little offended if someone offered me cash to cuddle. I'd feel like a commodity that could be bought.

Also, as a female-anatomied person, I would worry that me being paid for cuddling, even if arrange through a cuddling site, would be misconstrued by the person paying me to do that. There are still people that join this site that try to push the limits of what is acceptable behaviour, and I wouldn't be able to relax knowing that their financial investment in my time might lead them to believe they have a claim to my body.

  • I'm dying to know what that comment was that got edited to "women are not food".

  • @BuggleBear That is a totally legitimate concern that i was waiting for a female to raise.

  • @FunCartel i 2nd that & smh @ thesis paper 📄 😅 my co-workers feel like I’m holding out on a joke because I can’t stop laughing 😂 (respectfully)

Read the top post in the thread.

It has been competely rewritten by the OP for reasons which she explains.

  • I just read it @CuddleDuncan thanks

  • @CuddleDuncan Explains is a bit of a stretch. I couldn't make sense of it, but maybe I'm just not as galaxy brained as OP.
