@Importance @Duryea Skydiving is actually incredibly easy... You have your main parachute (canopy) and then you also have a reserve chute, in case the main one doesn't open. The hardest part is climbing out of the plane and hanging off the side of the wing before you're told to "LOOK UP" where you see a little decal that says "LET GO".
You're told to count down from 10 during free-fall and if your main canopy doesn't open automatically at that point you should look up and see if it's tangled and if so attempt to untangle it. If that fails you manually open your reserve by grabbing two handles on your chest and punching both fists forward. I was so caught up in the adrenaline rush of hanging off the side of a plane that once I was free-falling I realized I had completely forgot to start counting down.
Crap... 10, 9, 8, 7, 6..... BAM... the main canopy opens up and it felt like someone picked me up from under my armpits with incredible force!
After that you reach up grab the toggles and just fly like a bird! Pull your left arm down to turn left and your right arm down to to turn right. The most peaceful and FREE feeling ever! Then to land you keep your eyes on the horizon and as you get to ground level you pull both arms down to "flare". Both corners of the canopy curl and you essentially brake, or hover if you've done it too soon. Worst case scenario you might break a toe or sprain your ankle while landing if you're REALLY bad at it.
However if you think you'll FAIL at skydiving you could always run for President!

Lol @BotWithFeelings We sure could use a new Prime Minister here in Canada! Our's has worn "blackface" 3 times! After the first incident was exposed he "apologized" and upon being asked if he had done it on any other occasions, he said something along the lines of, not that I can remember. Then a second photo emerged of a different incident and he again apologized and was pretty much asked and said the same thing. Then a third incident was exposed... I'm sure you know how this story goes by now.
Yet somehow he's never been "impeached", nor has anyone attempted to remove him from office. Somehow he actually won another term "after" this all was exposed and was even endorsed by Obama!
I guess American politicians just have to learn to say "sorry" and all their problems will vanish into thin air as well!?

@Importance Oh my, I'm now on the wall of shame! It's not the Rock n Rock Hall of Fame but at least I've accomplished something in my life thus far. I'm so flattered!
