I was OFFENDED...

  • Yes . I am sure that science has it all wrong about masks . All.these medical people wearing masks when they do surgeries and when treating people on droplet precautions with airborne illnesses, and the scientists who study virus, disease , and bacterial etiology have no idea and have been doing it wrong for years πŸ™„

  • Has this been posted already? xD It was the first thing that came to mind when I read the title.

I was offended when all the news media outlets became firing squads against the nation's leader, just because a number of people in highly populated states decided to riot about his win. Now the opposite "party" wins and for the first time in a long time the usually peaceful party decides to organize a riot on a very specific target instead of trashing the neighborhoods and the news calls them domestic terrorists?
I'm starting to find this whole party system offensive. Maybe we should just go back to the dark ages and turn this into rule by the strongest?... of course all that would do is turn us all into cannibals.

There needs to be an executive order created making it mandatory for massages and cuddling to be practiced at least once a month.

  • Specific target is a very roundabout way of saying, the Capitol of the US Government during the certification of the most important election our country has. I don't sympathize with terrorism or sedition. @LoveLikeAnEwok stop trying to destroy democracy.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

@LoveLikeAnEwok: If by "the nation's leader" you mean Trump, "his win" doesn't apply (since he lost).

If by "the nation's leader" you mean Biden, you're a few days ahead of yourselfβ€”but "his win" does apply, and pro-Trumpers have certainly been rioting about it. Trumper riots (and attempted coups) are, however, not the cause of media distaste for Trump. The cause of that would be, well, Trump.

Note also that an attack on the seat of government (in an attempt to overturn a free and fair election, no less) is a bit different from trashing your neighborhood grocery store. Both bad! But one a little more treasonous than the other.

And, as I think has been previously pointed out in this forum somewhere, making it mandatory for people to provide cuddles to others is... not a great idea.

  • [Deleted User]LoveLikeAnEwok (deleted user)

@BotWithFeelings I find your accusation of me wanting to destroy democracy offensive. Jumping to conclusions without reading the full message. Did I or did I not say it would only lead to everyone being cannibals if it did happen?
And read the very last paragraph. Pretty sure that's a use of our democratic system.

Massage and cuddle me, fascist. ☺️

@DarrenWalker I find your distaste offensive.
And as far as it being a good or bad idea for cuddles and massages... that is all opinion. Has any case ever been connected with a true massage session or have massages just stopped because of a "precaution" to the possibility of spread?
Under true practice, massages would be one of the safest practices with the amount of sanitation practices that are part of guidelines between each session. Now, if someone isn't sanitizing their table after each session and reusing linens... well, now that sh!@ needs to stop. It gives all MT's a bad name.

@UltimateChungus I find you calling me facist offensive. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

@LoveLikeAnEwok: I taste just fine, thanks. And the objection to people being forced to provide others with cuddles is that it's, well, fascist.

  • I literally cannot tell who's being serious and who's joking, but I guess that's the point? XD

@DarrenWalker but would it really be facist? I find your limiting the word "practice" as offensive.
I never said when and where they had to receive cuddles or massages... or who had to provide the service. Just that once/month one and/or the other should be practiced. ... and to say "practice" I mean in lifestyle, not in being the one providing the service.... it's like saying, "please practice safe sex" or make a practice of healthy eating.

  • No reason to chim in, its all been said and who reads this far down? But since I said I had nothing to say, I'll say; Pathetic, really pathetic. On a cuddle site, pathetic.

Image removed. No personal attacks, @riverman986 . Considering the thread/topic and by tagging, that wasn't even borderline. [-Sid]

"usually peaceful party decides to organize a riot" :joy:

Hey, let's take it even further! How about, "usually peaceful party decides to try their hand at a coup, all while waving the iconic flag for the side of the civil war that wanted the right to keep slaves, killing people, looting while taking selfies, and bringing a healthy supply of pipe bombs, molotov cocktails, and zipties that were intended for use as restraints, shouting completely reasonable protest chants like 'Hang Mike Pence'".

Just, you know, stuff peaceful people do when they're mad. #justpeacefulpeoplethings

  • @wildirisrainbow I'm late to this part of the thread but I just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear of your story. I can't even begin to imagine what you must have gone through.

We are usually quite welcoming to new members on this forum, and normally people posting about difficult experiences do get some kind of positive response from somebody. I'm sorry you've had to wait so long.

I appreciate you have had some bad experiences and were upset about some of the things that were posted. However, @UltimateChungus is a well known character here and he is not evil. A rascal? Yes. Mischievious? Certainly. Does he go a bit too far occasionally? Well the mods sure think so. But on the whole he is a Good Thing.

Regarding masks, here in the UK the legislation is quite clear. People in your situation are exempt from wearing masks.

    Anyway, welcome to the forum!

@LoveLikeAnEwok: Weeell. If there were an executive order which made it mandatory for massages and cuddling to be practiced at least once a month, I think that would result in people being forced to give cuddles even if they didn't want to, don't you?

To use one of your other examples, suppose everyone had to practice safe sex at least once a month. As an asexual, I'd be frankly furious! It's my body, thanks. If I don't want others touching it sexually, that's my choice.

Edit: Actually, scratch that last bit.

An executive order like that would infuriate me as a human, because it's my body and unless my life is on the line and I can't, I'll be the one deciding who touches it, and when, and in what ways.

  • Forced cuddles/ forced sex. This is all getting a bit ra...... creepy.

  • I’m still offended. Feels so good.

  • How are we feeling about the offended stuff today?

    πŸ‘πŸ» Or πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

  • [Deleted User]squeakytoy (deleted user)

@Importance I don't even remember what we were getting offended about! :confounded:

  • edited January 2021

I think it was just a point expressing that concept of feeling offended is worthless.

Paraphrased from my own feelings and understandings.

Do I have this anywhere near correct @UltimateChungus ?

  • edited January 2021

@davidgfla ~ What's pathetic (to you) on a cuddle site?

    fixed typo

  • Haha... I guess I should only speak for myself. But I do feel really pathetic being on a cuddle site.

But this makes me laugh a lot. You guys are my Saturday night entertainment. You guys are my every day of the week entertainment. Thank you for all the fun.

    πŸ¦’πŸ¦’πŸ¦’πŸ¦’πŸ¦’πŸ¦’πŸ¦’

    @Importance

    Yes, that is correct.

A couple of offensive ditties for y'all...

This one may require opening in YouTube.
I don't know why that is but, IMO, it's worth it...

  • edited January 2021

@quixotic_life I loved this is shit! People that is a BRILLIANT song. It's not offensive at all, apart from a couple of regular swear words.

Edit: They both are!!!!!! Happy Duncan

But I do feel really pathetic being on a cuddle site.

I don't. Perhaps I might have done once. But that feeling is based on number of false assumptions about the world. I suspect that feeling is at the root of why some people won't post their photo.

@DarrenWalker don't you practice safe sex all the time as an asexual? Nothing is safer than not having sex in the first place.

  • @quixotic_life For that 2nd video, I get this:

  • @FlyingToaster just click to watch it on youtube, it works fine.
