@quixotic_life I am a big fan of copal totally agree I am actually ashamed in hindsight I said frankincense over copal. Dragonsblood as an aside smells divine. I always advise clients use eyebright for clearing negative energy I call it the colon cleanse of negative energy for heavy duty work. Way stronger than a sage smudge and it clouds really well.

@DarrenWalker I get your post but that more comes across as semantics to me. Regardless of if smudging is possible or impossible, people understand what smudging refers to. So although it may not be smudging as it is actually known by definition a person who is saging their house to remove negative energy knows what it is regardless of the true definition of smudging. edit: After looking up the definition of smudging "Smudging generally refers to the practice of burning herbal material. It can be done for practical reasons or for spiritual or ceremonial purposes." as based on wikipedia. Although yes it is wikipedia I get that anyone can edit it. For what is generally known of the definition today I would say that Aptly defines it based off how it is known today.
