I can’t give my secrets away 🤭 jk

    1) if its your setting make it the best possible - really clean place / clean fresh bedding & sheets / really nice scented candles (not overpowering) something like pink peony from yankee candle

    2) make sure you’re super clean 🧼 freshly showered / fresh breath just brushed (can’t believe I even have to mention this 🤦‍♂️) & very comfortable wear, like a 100% cotton T, & very comfortable pijama pants or gym shorts 🩳 that aren’t rough but on the smoother side like basketball shorts are, & if you wear cologne nothing strong or overpowering - don’t overdo it (if you’re not sure, as long as you’re fresh & clean than cologne would not be necessary)

    3) I know everyone has their own preference or ways to go about cuddling , but I have my own which is I tend to go off by her, I don’t ever dictate how we will cuddle , & if I’m ever to be assertive or take the lead its because I’m going off her cues & comfort level (everyone is not the same)

bonus : I know some people love music 🎶/ others like tv on / & other prefer silence-conversation... I introduce all 3 very mellow in the background & see what the vibe is & what she’s leaning to the most & take it from there ... I see cuddling as a huge privilege because let’s face it, she has options 😛😝🤪 but I try to make it in a way that she wouldn’t get my experience with nobody else (regardless if she can or not) but that’s what I want to give her & that’s what I aim for ☺️

I hope all this helps or that you take what you will & discard the rest, happy cuddling : )

  • Step one. Be a kitten

  • @Importance - My cat doesn't know the meaning of social distancing.

  • @Mike403 me right now ♥️♥️♥️

  • @Importance - ❤ I adopted my cat when he was an 8 week old kitten. He's 13 years old now.

Hi kitties! <3 Look at all those cute creatures of the night. I want a bite!

Start it off with a flaming hot cup of hot chocolate. That will def set the cozy mood.

  • Back to the OP's question...

  • Those are excellent resources!. I’m actually very happy that you took the time to address the person asking the question. My silliness was uncalled for. I apologize. I’m going to take the time to read those resources. Especially the one on consent and the nuances of consent. That seems amazing to me to learn.

  • @Importance I really liked the consent website; I played the 3 minute game with a partner and it was surprising and enjoyable. It would be a great ice breaker for cuddlers new to each other. I've been meaning to go back and watch some of the other videos.

  • I have found it very helpful to meet out somewhere 1st., ice cream or coffee-etc., chat a little, go over all boundaries for BOTH, not just one. Ask questions, then be up front about going further. If your gut says, no, then go by that.
If your hosting, you should tell the person about any pets in the home or anything that might make the person feel uncomfortable. I had a cuddlier once tell me that her husband will be home, in the living room watching TV !!!!, I declined that offer, LOL

    I don’t own a cat

  • @Importance

    me right now

    Right *meow

  • I think the first thing is to make sure you're clean (i.e., freshly showered or showered not long ago), smell decent (wearing deodorant), and have fresh breath.

While cuddling, I think it's important to communicate about cuddling preferences and to respect you partner. Also, I think it helps to periodically check to be sure they're okay and comfortable.

For long cuddles, it's also good to take breaks when either of you need to use the bathroom or when you're thirsty (it's good to keep hydrated).

  • Prerequisite: be clean
    Step one: spoon
    Step two: close your eyes
    Step three: breathe
    Enjoy!
Beyond that, someone either doesn't get it or isn't communicating.

  • Also, love all the cat pics.
