  • I judge love by actions, not words.

  • People are different. We all view the world through our individual perspectives. One person’s primary love language may be words of appreciation, and another’s may be physical touch. Other love languages are quality time, acts of service, and gifts.

Understanding and expressing love to others in their love language can be unusual for us when we have different love languages. It is a worthwhile effort to find out each other’s language. Say “I love you” in the native love language of your beloved.

I think most people are too precious about saying "I love you." For instance, when you're in the early stages of dating someone, saying that for the first time is usually considered a big step, and you can't say it too soon or you'll scare the person off. Which I find a little silly. What if, on my second date with someone, I happen to feel something strong towards her right then? Why can't I say "I love you" and let it just be a simple expression of how I feel at that moment in time? But in reality if I were to say that she would see it as some huge, weighty thing that puts tons of pressure on her and makes me seem desperate.

On the other hand, I do know one person who says "I love you" to almost everyone. Honestly to me that makes it seem fairly pointless. If you say it to everyone, nobody's going to feel special when they hear it.

  • If you're a guy and you want to scare a female(who isn't related to you) off, say "I love you" before she says it first.

  • I told a pet dog earlier this morning. She did not say it but she showed it in her own dog way.

Thankfully every day. And whenever I'm able to see a family member or friend I haven't seen in a while I make sure to say it. Don't know when I'll see them again.

I last told someone that I loved them a few hours ago, while we hugged. Their response was something along the lines of "That's good." It made me happy. Then, I said that I looked forward to suffering with them later in this hideous nightmare that we call existence. We broke apart, and then I went back to my apartment while misery and hate returned to my heart.

@Mike403 , can confirm. For bonus points, say it as one of the first things you've ever said to her, as part of a ramble like, "you don't know me but I've been watching you all semester, have you ever heard of twin flames because I think we might have something special"

(I eventually learned to skip the last day of classes)

  • @UltimateChungus You always make me smile through suffering. It is almost like a Judeo-Christian concept minus the theme park in the sky.

  • @squeakytoy - haha. That's more in the line of stalking. I'm talking about relationships.

@Mike403 Oh, I misunderstood. Carry on!

I'm glad that someone here gets a kick out of it. Thank you very much.
