I love you, if you genuinely needed to hear this, plz accept it 🙃🙂
How can you love people you have never met?
Everyone needs or hear this, but for me personally it would feel disingenuous coming from someone that I don't even talk to outside of the forums.
You can most definitely love people you haven't met. Love isn't always sexual. Even Jesus said "Love thy neighbor "
Glad you are here, too! Thanks and back at you.
@BuggleBear
I don’t know it’s truly strange... but I genuinely do
It isn’t disingenuous, but than again that’s just my word you’re having to rely on, so its ok.
I start out with the same clean slate with every single person, it doesn’t matter to me who they are - where they come from / social status / rich - poor / race / background ect ect ect ... I give everyone the same benefit of doubt & approach everyone equally with respect / love / & care (until shown otherwise)
@geminigator20 !
@Gallowglass ty
I love ❤️ you too !! Like @geminigator20 said everyone deserves love and is not always sexual.. and is nice to hear it even from a complete stranger.. stay safe everyone
Ty soo much @nina0616 your words are truly appreciated 🌌
@BuggleBear "How can you love people you have never met?"
I don't know how, but it is 100% possible!
"... it would feel disingenuous coming from someone that I don't even talk to outside of the forums."
Oh, yeah. For sure! I know it can be after many a message is exchanged, or even within a few. But only through forum interactions? Um... yeah, that does seem a tad off.
I would think that's the kind of "love" one might professes when shopping like, "Omg! I love this ___!" and not the true, "I love you in a deep and meaningful way." kind of love.
🤷♀️
Yeah, I feel super uncomfortable with strangers/near strangers telling me they love me, whatever the intended context. I never said, (nor implied) that I assumed there was a sexual connotation.
It's not the sentiment as much as its the actual word/phrasing. I'd be fine with someone saying:
'BB, you're special, you're important, you have a lot to offer the world and I think a lot of you'. No problem with that, that's nice.
Just that people using that word makes my skin crawl. I even hate hearing it from people I class as 'close' to me, and there is only one person that can use it and it doesn't make me cringe, and even THAT is hit and miss!
I read the same comment as you all did that BuggleBear first left and I can't help but wonder, "How in the world did you interoret that as saying live always involves a sexual fine/meaning?"
@geminigator20 yes, Jesus did say that, but the context in which he said that involved people we know ... someone you have met. Love requires an object of the love given, not just a vague concept.
I think it is a sweet thing to say @cuddles_ndream Something that doesn’t require logic. I love you too!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you @Tranquilescape your words are amazing ♥️
Eh, I figure this type of love is different from the standard. Like... say I love cats. Cats are awesome! They're fascinating! They're soft and warm and they purr and.... [insert endless enthusiastic ramble]
But this doesn't mean I love any one specific cat, right? Just all cats, in general.
So I can point at a group of cats and say I love all of them—and I do! But, uh... maybe not the way one traditionally thinks of love.
After all, it's not like I know them. I'm not familiar with their personalities: which ones are snuggly and which are aloof, which tend to be violent, which ones like TV and which ones don't, which ones wander and which prefer the same familiar places.... All I know about each cat is that it's a cat. And that's good enough for me! Immediately I love them, because I love cats.
If one of them's mean and claws me all the time for no reason, yeah, that might change—but that's about what it would take, and until then I'd feel pretty dang fond of the critter just on account of it being a cat.
This kind of love I can do. If it's this kind of love we're talking about, I love humans!
@cuddles_ndream
Do you have a need to be seen as sweet, caring, etc?
no I don’t have a need to be seen that way, but I like being that way
I love you all, you are all divine daughters and sons of King, remember we are not of this world, we are all connected even though we have different mortal parents, we all have the same Father in the heavens.. I hope one day I get to meet you all.
@cuddles_ndream: So you enjoy seeing yourself that way. Well, it's a better self-image to strive for than some!
@soullover & @DarrenWalker ty both 🌌
I agree with @BuggleBear . A blanketed statement o the unknown masses is disingenuous and seems a little bit on the attention / approval seeking side .
That’s ok
Sometimes a person needs to give love. Even if it's to the universe. But, it's more fulfilling if there's a feedback. And why not share it with a group of people you choose to float-around with? The love you express may not look like what everyone thinks love means or looks like. As a cuddler, this seems natural to me. So, while I can easily see it making some people uncomfortable, if it's a public place and not targeted at an individual, I think it's a healthy expression of many people's personalities. Your mileage may vary.
This ^! Every single word, every single sentence - ty @Gallowglass ... really!! 🌌
I agree with @Tranquilescape - love is the greatest gift we can give each other and I give it you back @cuddles_ndream without analysis. At the risk of sounding like a mindfulness textbook, love yourself first but then share your love. Put on your own oxygen mask before helping others.
I do : )
shrug
Each to their own.
@BuggleBear yes : )
I just came to the startling realization that I never shared my thoughts on this amazing thread. Unfortunately, I have recently adopted a policy of pacifism here on the forum. If any of you would like to hear my thoughts on this post, please go here.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
@DarkLordChungus Put it on your tumblr!! I wanna hear said thoughts.
TL;DR: I was dumbass and did not see link
