As a cudlee, I can see that friendships will build up over time with a cuddler. The enamored feeling of someone that gets you and blends in so well. Issue is, if the cudlee has a partner, how does he or she introduce the cuddler to them?
Hmmm!
If there were no secrets to begin with & both cuddlers feel the same way, (meaning it isn’t just one cuddler who build this amazing friendship in their minds lol) than I don’t see any problems
I've seen friendly cuddlers, where that outside connection was never even considered.
But, when it happened, I got jelly.
There was no reason to not introduce us, when we attended the same events. I was just a client, with whom a friendship had developed. On top of it, it really wasn't my place, or her partner's place, to feel any such way (nunya). So, no conflict.
Any feelings I had, were just the chemicals doing their job. Telling myself anything else would have been fantasy.
Utimately, it's their choice.
I can't imagine cuddling with someone and not being on friendly terms. But being on friendly terms and being friends are two different things. 🤔
Agreed, well said @LilMsB : being on friendly terms and being friends are two different things. I find that when you combine contexts, any two contexts, it can get weird. Mixing work and friendship, cuddling and friendship, being a landlord and friendship, etc. can all come with their own weird terrain to cover-- best if done, to do it carefully and consciously.
I think someone mentioned on here, that they can appreciate that they can cuddle someone, and not have to worry about anything else after; ie, a 'one-night stand' cuddle. Sure, they can cuddle again in the future if they want, but the point is that that pressure isn't there to begin with. No context, just two lonely, touch starved humans looking for temporary respite in each other, then moving on with their lives.
I can definitely see the appeal in that, and I think that this website was created in this spirit. Though, repeated cuddles with the same person will inevitable develop into something else (the pro-client relationship is bit different since the professional policies prohibit cultivation of a friendship, though of course it still happens). As mentioned, this can be beautiful, but it can also be messy, as these things go. The feeling of friendship could turn into something more, which means ultimately one person will get hurt (unless both are on the same page). It's up to the individuals where they want to take their cuddling relationship.
I don't think that building a cuddle relationship equals a crossover into my personal life. That's just my opinion but I think it's dangerous to expect that.
