This is one of those posts that I wish the mods would delete. There’s different opinions, and then there is misinformation that has the potential to get people killed. This is the latter.
@natickben: Pretty much all misinformation has the potential to get people killed, hurt, maimed, etc. The question is where we draw the line.
What lies are unacceptably dangerous, and which are so familiar, so useful in allowing you to foster community and feel at home there, that the damage can be ignored?
In the end, the untruths we treat most harshly are the ones we find most unfamiliar... or the ones we're most hurt by.
@ChefKate - not just phone companies. Cable TV could run the covid-killer frequency continuously, as long as it doesn't have to be so loud it drowns out everything.
