You just showed yourself the door. [-Sid]

Awesome compliment, @bryan_dls! Not to go fishing or anything, but... do you think I would also make a good candidate for vampirism?

    Edit:

I find telling asexuals that they sound like virgins to be about as funny as telling straight guys that they sound like they've never had sex with a man. A, we're kind of... not interested? And B—you don't know! There could have been a moment of curiosity, or peer pressure, or something, you don't know!

Oh late again to the attack party. I never get to have any fun.

@teddybear0512 stunning non reactivity. I bow.

  • Oh and thanks @Sideon aka big bro. <3

@teddybear0512 that's good advice from @littermate. You have to make friends first.

I can add only two points. "you have a nice smile" isn't a true compliment. It's just a comment on an accident of nature. (And it's more about you (i.e. your reaction) than it is about them.) A true compliment refers to something the recipient has control over.

Secondly, a cuddle is not a physical thing. Sure, it has a physical component. But in essence it is an emotional thing.

    @bryan_dls

Firstly, I'm not your dude. Secondly, that's very presumptuous of you. And also a bit absurd. As @DarrenWalker pointed out, it doesn't really work on me. That likely seems strange to you. Then again, it seems strange to me that you use pictures of your sexual conquests as your profile image.

  • @DarkLordChungus did you accompany me in staying up all night?

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

@littermate: We both did. The joys of working nights!

  • Woohoo! Perhaps we are part of a vampire cult. Agggghhh, I see rays of light! Get thee to thy coffin!

  • [Deleted User]squeakytoy (deleted user)

Yep, nothing to add - @littermate nailed it, as usual!

Except, whaaat? Another thread soiled by personal attacks? Come on. :expressionless:

@squeakytoy: From such soil do the prettiest pansies sprout. (Sometimes.)

Uh, but yeah: what @littermate said. Friends first! Cuddles later. That's how you do it. ... She's also right when she says the sun's up. I'm gonna need at least one thing beginning with "coff," for sure!

@squeakytoy Thanks babe. Thanks @CuddleDuncan and @DarrenWalker. I'm feeling so appreciated.

Soiled. Love it. I might have just described his patented approach and he felt insulted. Alas.

  • [Deleted User]squeakytoy (deleted user)

@littermate I missed what he said before @Sideon 's ninja edit, but... can't say I'm surprised. Tale as old as time.

@DarrenWalker Welp, time to make the most of it and add pansies then!

  • [Deleted User]squeakytoy (deleted user)

Then again, it seems strange to me that you use pictures of your sexual conquests as your profile image.

@DarkLordChungus Ohhhhhhhhh sheeeeeeit :joy: I read this and all the air got up and left my lungs

  • Thanks for the flags and reports. He was warned, he disregarded, and he's out of here. Can ya'll get back on topic? Much obliged.

  • I've even had them contact me and set their own rules which violate the site or just try to tell me how they want to pay or whatever which I only accept payment first before session. Some just really make me feel uncomfortable. So feel free to ignore them on whatever they do. Just like I do even if I lose some clients. You don't have to waste your time on them. I don't think some are ready for how this site works or are mature enough for proper interaction.

It takes maturity, respect, and listening to what a woman's needs are. I find most woman just want express what's on there heart. You must be ready to listen and provide a responsive mature statement or perhaps its just silence and she wants that reassuring hug and cuddling from you.

  • @littermate seems like pretty good advice! Though, one thing I’ll add is that based on what I’m seeing/hearing a large proportion of pros screen like any other enthusiast (but just charge for their time), so the same Advice might apply with them. Sometimes people just won’t reciprocate despite your best or genuine effort, just like in real life, in that case just move on to the next. I think this effect is amplified for online correspondences, though, for a couple of different reasons, which can be disheartening for some of the faint of heart guys and gals.

@CuddleDuncan interesting comment about accidents of nature vs. true compliments. I did hear that people generally prefer to be complimented on things they have control over. I don’t know if I’m weird in that I do appreciate compliments on accidents of nature, but it might be because I rarely receive them. Additionally, since this is not a dating site, women might not appreciate any comments about looks, even if it’s a compliment, but I could be wrong. Everyone is different to some degree.

  • Not weighing in on whether the question in question was manipulative or not because this is a long thread, but questions can be used in a manipulative manner.

Leading questions, for instance, are designed to elicit a specific response.

“When did you quit beating your wife?” Asked of someone who is not beating their wife is clearly meant to tarnish their reputation.

“I’m not saying Cesar Chavez hired Dominion to make voting machines that changed votes, I’m just asking the question,” is a manipulative question.

I could give other examples but questions can be asked in a manipulative answer.

Of course, refusing to answer a relevant question and, in turn, claiming the question is tarnished is also a form of manipulation.

Perhaps I should go back and find the question in answer.

If everyone stays on topic, speaks the truth, and argues in good faith, there should be no problem.

  • I would also respectfully disagree that one’s smile is an accident of birth and not under our control. The same person can smile in a manner that is warm and friendly, or sinister, or ironic, or creepy, or silly, or artificial looking or forced. It may reflect something about us. It doesn’t necessarily mean “You got lucky with the genetic roll of the dice and you’re skillful with makeup.” It can also mean, “You look warm and friendly and at ease with yourself and I like that.”

Two years later and I’m revisiting this thread. I haven’t read every comment yet because there are so many but I will. There are some great points made and I thank everyone who took the time to express their thoughts.

In spite of this site, it does appear difficult for both men and women to get what they want and I think anything we can do to help each other make that happen is a good thing. With the pandemic, I have not considered cuddling to be an option but now that growing numbers of us are getting vaccinated I see it as a possibility again soon.

I do want to add a postscript to to one of my earliest comments. Both @DarrenWalker and @hobgoblin (whose account, unfortunately, is not currently active, I hope they see this some day) made comments (the very first two, in fact) about how an attitude of entitlement can totally ruin a man’s chance for a woman to want to cuddle with them. At the time, I failed to see what that had to do with the question I posed. At this point, I read it and cannot fathom how I did not see the connection. It happens. It is a reminder to me that sometimes we read or we hear and it just doesn’t sink in at the time for reasons beyond our comprehension. At any rate, at this late date I would change my response to: Great point! Thank you!

Reminder to self that this happens to me and happens to others. No blame. Communication is an ongoing process of refinement. Thanks to all who are patient with me.

And thanks to all you lovely cuddle bunnies out there. Wishing you all get the cuddles you deserve!
