@pmvines Rats may indeed enjoy cuddling but you can't deny the situation varies considerably between pets versus wild. Rat bites are all too common in impoverished communities, especially for very young victims. Those pics are very cute though!
@UCpaaHVg6u0 true true . I have had several pet rats over the years and though tame, captive bred ones can be very sweet and trainable, I certainly would not go around playing with wild sewer rats lol
There's an episode of the UK sitcom based in a hotel, called Fawlty Towers ; where the cook Manuel has a pet rat, which he says was sold to him as "a pedigree Siberian hamster", and the boss has to tell him that the hotel inspector visiting that day, might be concerned, given that "pedigree Siberian hamsters" caused the Black Death ( though that's now suspect ).

Sweating from the welts or hives at the site of the sting is not unusual.
