I dont take issue really if you choose to not get vaccinated. I just want people who decide not to to weigh out the pros and cons of fact based info and not get caught up in the disinformation junk. Far too much conspiracy crap out there . Be informed so you can make informed decisions

I took my second moderna shot a couple of weeks ago, I was really tired, had a slight headache and felt run down for about 24 hours, after that all good.
Here in the UK everybody over 50 and all priority groups have been offered a first vaccination. Overall take-up is 95%.

There is no marketing or pressure of any kind from from drug companies - that would be illegal. (And pointless.) There has been advice from the government but nothing that could be construed as pressure: a very desultory advertising campaign but that's it. The most-reported celebrity getting it was probably Dolly Parton.
In other words everybody gets it because we all know it's right thing to do.
I’m in North Carolina and will have my second shot on the 21st! First one went well! I wish that everyone had the positive attitude that people on this forum has!

Articles and data overwhelmingly support getting vaccinated against covid . That meme doesn't even make sense.....
I live in Washington state. I teach full-time and single parent - my 3 youngest children live with me full-time.
I was relieved when my state moved educators and staff up in the phase priority.
I had my 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine on April 7. I have never been more relieved in my life to have that extra layer of protection. In my area, folks do not follow health & safety guidelines.
Side effects of both doses: • headache - day 1 & 2 • dry mouth • sore arm • tiredness - day 2
It's been a week since the 2nd dose - no other side effects noted.
Kind of hard to infect people with something if you don't have it. JS

I just got the shot and went around hugging everyone and getting punched and now my face hurts
@ubergigglefritz you can take a dose of Tylenol or possibly motrin or aleve when you get the vaccine and that might help prevent side effects.

I got my second Pfizer shot one week ago and only had minor soreness at the injection site.
Will get my second Pfizer vaccine Tuesday morning. Got my first and my arm was sore for half a day and a felt a bit tired but it was no worse than my flu shot.
I had my 2nd Moderna shot this afternoon (!). So far my arm is a little less sore than the 1st shot. So far nothing else, let's see how it feels tomorrow!
@Maverick07 I thought my are was less sore with the second shot, too, although my shots were Pfizer.
@parkwayvisual Update: I woke up today and it just as sore as the first shot, maybe a little more, haha! I guess the yard work will have to wait... but that's it (well, so far)

@hawker69 OH NO. I didn't realize you were in Alberta! My sympathies, it sounds like everything's been much worse over there than in Ontario and Quebec. I think it was last week that I checked your daily new case count, and it was uncomfortably high. I'm glad you were able to get vaccinated!

In the great state of Ohio “we” keep making more and more people “eligible “for the vaccinations. “Availability “ is the challenging part. I finally got my first of two recently. It felt like a major accomplishment 😊 and didn’t hurt or bother a bit.
I got the Astricazenica one. I'm not at all worried if others choose against getting vaccinated because I know I'll be safe. Some of my friends are conspiracy theorists and are against getting vaccinated.
@joelden You are temporarily safe, but if enough people do not get vaccinated new variants will mutate that could render the vaccine useless. This is why this virus fight is not an “I” thing but a “we” struggle.
I got Moderna. First one I only had tightness about a 3-inch radius from where the needle went into my arm. Second one I had a full-body malaise, fatigue and feeling both hot and cold at the same time for the entire next day. Despite that I was able to pass the temperature check at my mental health program and attended a support group there. After the way 2020 went I was determined to get vaccinated at the soonest chance even if it was controversial.
Fortunately I didn't even ask my psychiatrist for a letter saying I'm at higher risk for serious complications if I contracted COVID-19. She just handed me the letter and told me to get my vaccine. Due to technical issues with CVS' website not accepting my correct home address I had to go much farther from my home to get my shots but now I've had both of 'em and am looking forward to being declared fully vaccinated next month😎
Pfizer Feb 1 & 23. Sore arm Feb 2 Sore arm Feb 24 Very slight fever for 6 hours. Took Tylenol Feb 24 or 25 Itchy at injection site, Feb 28 had covid arm for 6 days. Feel great, still masking and distancing but have been out for 4 massages now.
To vaccinate or not is just a risk / reward decision. If 1 in 1 million have a serious outcome from the vaccine but 8,000 get sick, 1200 get hospitalized, and 50 die....all w/o a vaccine, you can rationally decide.
Research your own numbers, these are hypothetical.
