Cuddling as a visually impaired person.

Hello, I am a visually impaired person. And I am happy to announce that most of my experiences when meeting with people have been pretty good. I think cuddling for me is important because of the tactile aspect it provides since I have no usable site. For me, I especially enjoy it when the person I am meeting with scratches my hands. And I also enjoy having conversations with them as well. Most of the people I have met with have been accommodating about my needs. However, there have been a few that have said that they are I’m comfortable with scratching my hands. And before I could message them to possibly discuss other options I have found that some of them have blocked me. Which to me is rather frustrating because I am a person that is willing to discuss other options.
And most of the people I have met with have been very accommodating about my disability. I even had one person I met with bring a Hamic that she had. And let me just say, I did not want to leave when the session was over. I also had a bad experience in which I was supposed to video chat with someone and when I initiated the call I heard the sound of what seemed to be a man’s voice talking to another man. Even though the person I was supposed to be video chatting with was a woman. And ever since then I have posted on my profile that if I am going to meet with someone I at least require a 10 to 15 minute video chat to establish boundaries and getting to know each other.

I think hand scratches is normal in this kind of thing and massages. But it doesn't mean everyone likes it or is ok with it. If they say no the first time then I wouldn't push it. You can decide to either have a session without that or ask someone else. Pushing them on it could result in a block. So just be aware that not everyone likes the same things as you and if you two can't agree on something then it's ok not to cuddle. You also don't get hand scratches during virtual sessions so every session can be different. Good luck with future sessions! :)

  • I’m with @Amortentia on this one, Andy. There’s nothing unusual about your requests to me, but at least you were open to talking about different options. Hand scratching is a new one I haven’t heard about — neato. I’d say the people who blocked you are missing out, but their reasons are only for them to know. Your karma is good, and you’re very clear about what you’re looking for on CC. We tend to love that! Thank you for coming on and sharing your experience. I think I read about the situation with the two men in your other thread. That would scare me personally.

  • @catloaf, it definitely was quite a scary experience. And I actually did find someone on here who surprisingly enough also likes having her hands scratched. She mentioned this to me when I initially told her about it. The experience self self is quite unnerving. And then this person messaged me and said that she saw my face. So I then proceeded to tell her not to waste my time.
