I have a friend that works at HD here at the Milwaukee plant, and at some point he was a test pilot - tough gig, huh?! I 'm not a HD type of guy, but just bought a '72 Honda CB750 this week. Some extra fun this summer!!

I ride, not as much as I want, been riding for 40+ yrs, over 300K miles so far. I have never owned a HD, rode a few friends before, they always seemed to be out of budget. I love riding the mountains so I try to make several trips a year out of FL. to find some hills, be safe out there !!!
What @radchelle00 said got me thinking that having a "public cuddle" riding behind a guy with my arms around him would be nice— even if a little bit scary.
@nurturingman: I used to ride with my dad like that. I remember having to fight my own reflexes every time we took a corner, 'cause I'd want to lean the opposite direction to him—to balance things out, right?—but I knew if I did it would mess with his turn and we could crash.
Leaning into those turns, man... it was terrifying and exhilarating. The ground's so close! Your leg's so fragile! But every time, we made the turn just fine (and Dad never seemed to mind me practically becoming one with his back).
Dunno if that counts as a cuddle, but if it does, dang! it's a heck of a cuddle.
@DarrenWalker Aw, that sounds so nice! I once got a ride from a young YMCA counselor to a baseball game on his motorcycle and I remember the same thing about leaning into turns and holding on tight.
@nurturingman: It's counterintuitive, all right. I remember thinking it takes a fair amount of trust to give someone a ride on a motorcycle, as well as to accept.
Of course, I didn't weigh a whole lot at twelve. That probably helped.
I have owned 8 different bikes...including HD's (2)....but my favorite bike was my 2002 Indian Roadmaster. Enjoy the sound of a Milwaukee twin, and the torque they give. Sold it just before COVID after putting 100k miles on it...will be replacing it with a new Indian next year.
Yes !!! On the corners !! If you ever give a ride to someone, ask them if they have ever ridden a M/C !!! I didn’t do that once with a BIG girl, while running thru the mountains in WV the 1st curve she stood my bike straight up, almost killed us both, she said I was afraid it was falling over !!!!!
I currently own 2 Harleys. I have a 2012 streetbob and a 2002 ultra classic. If I'm not working I'm riding.
My Current ride is a 2011 HD Road King.
