Coloring

Does anyone else use cuddling to relax and calm your mind? or do you have an activity that is really almost like a meditation?
I like to put on some instrumental music, and grab some coloring pencils and empty my mind every once in a while ^.^
I just got a coloring book with some really awesome designs from the 99c store! :D

  • I print out pages online and get books for some of my dementia patients to help keep their minds focused and occupied. Also good for people who aren't cognitively impaired but may be bedbound and are victims of disease progression.
  • Almost anything can be a meditation, some people see things like cooking as a meditation.

Eating can be a meditation also.

Brandi! There are adult coloring books that you can buy for stress and anxiety. I got one from Barnes and Noble a few years ago. It's a bit more intricate than the children's books so you can really get into coloring the finer details.
  • Actually I do have a really intrecate one from thr 99c store, its not a childish one. It usually takes me an hour or so to finish a page.
We should get together and color, cuddlebunny! :p
Also pmvines thats freaking amazing that you do that! :o

I've made a few coloring books for kids and thought about making a few for adults but wasn't sure the market was big enough.

    Guess it is!

@Brandi I had a cancer patient who loved the more intricate adult color patters. I found some online that were actually quite nice, seemed like they could be framed. She was a pot smoker, and ate pot brownies to help ease her pain, so I found a couple with pot leaves woven in to the pattern, and some other psychedelic patterns for her.
