Community Appreciation: Most Missed In The Forum

Over the years a lot of us have seen wonderful forum contributors come and go. I'm sure many are dearly missed. Some have returned (yay). The purpose of this thread is to honour those who aren't as active in the community anymore, or those who chose voluntarily to leave the site for whatever reason. Feel free to chime in with memories, anecdotes, things that made you laugh, or whatever. It doesn't matter if it's an enthusiast or a pro; everyone is welcome.

My most-missed forum goers are @DonLonG and @BlueIris. The former has a wit I appreciate and makes great cuddle memes. Loved reading his posts everytime I was able to keep up with one. The latter is one of the voices of reason in the pro community that I actually crave to read these days. Her posts were some of the first I came across when I stumbled upon the website in 2017, and over time they challenged a lot of my skepticism about platonic cuddling and what professional cuddling actually is. For that I'm grateful.

Let's keep it light, shall we? Let's not turn this thread into anything more than appreciation. No speculating as to why someone may have left or halted forum activity. We also shouldn't be asking or pressuring people to return if they don't want to. It's okay to simply miss them. Try to stay centred on how the people you miss contributed and what you liked or miss about them. I'm also going to recommend we don't talk about those whose accounts are currently banned, as that just has potential to lead to another thing this thread shouldn't be about: drama and speculation

    @Catloaf I take regular breaks from here . I actually recommend it sometimes to people also. @BlueIris is a total gem and I miss seeing her and her forum contributions! Thanks 😊

    I got to spend time with DonLong recently and he's steeped in cuddles right now with one cuddle buddy that clicked. He also mentioned how he wants to get back to the forum and how much he misses the exchanges. He is one unique individual and one of the reasons why I will always stay put here at CC. Getting to know other tactile people has been an eye-opener and CC is one of the only places where I could meet a guy like him. Open, outward, honest, self-searching... it's all there with @DonLonG.

    I haven't been here long enough to see frequent posters disappear. But I've been a wonderful contributor at other forums and left them. As a coworker once said about my ego "it's not the worst I've ever seen", so I'm just going to take this time to say how awesome I am, how irreplaceable my contributions are, and how the forums I used to post in were sadly, but predictably, never able to recover from my absence.

    I was going to also say how incredibly humble I am, but I'll save that for another day.

    @quixotic_life 's posts are missed. She came across as intelligent, funny, and able to cut through controversial subjects with blunt objectivity as well as impartiality. Perhaps she will return. Well, we can only hope.

    There were a couple others that were interesting in another kind of way; that is; they made quite a splash when they first started posting, with exits just as loud. Some of the controversial topics they spawned were good to bring forward to discuss openly, while others were honestly kind of toxic. So maybe for these dramatic ex-members, their exits were appropriate in that they needed to reflect more on themselves and the energy they are putting out in the world.

    Aww... ♡♡♡ @sunnysideup ~ That's so nice of you to say. 🤗 My world has become so much more chaotic and uncertain in recent months. And since most of my limited free time has been spent either horizontally exploring a metaphoric silverware drawer, or being vertically challenged in the dinky pantry my life house came with (which I've crammed full over the years - and seriously, there's so much outdated stuff in there to go through!), I just haven't been able to be online as much.
    And @squeakytoy and @creedhands ~ Thank you for the mention ... ♡
    I think about a lot of the people I've met here often... I hope you all are doing well, and you've been getting your cuddle buckets filled!

    @MissAdventurous makes the best foodie posts 😋 and she’s 110% drama free @respectful for living up to his name @Envie for being the voice of reason @FunCartel for being very witty & hilarious in a very subtle way @valkyrievixen & @ElleCuddleMi 2 wonderful souls / lights @DarrenWalker very smart person @SuperManCuddles nothing but positivity @verona awesome all around … I tried to include both contributors & responders & I’m sure I forgot some people or still learning a few

    I miss @cualtzin. His posts were always so delightful. I heard he was a champion cuddler too. He would have won gold at Nationals if only Coach had put him in.

    Seriously though, I haven’t been around long enough to truly know those who are missed. However, there are some that I would miss if they were gone. A partial list: @pmvines @valkyrievixen @JasonCuddles @BellaSera. I appreciate the way they stay focused on topic. Their insightful discussions have often helped to change my mind, or at least broaden my understanding. And of course the mods, for being reasonable. I believe @squeakytoy’s dedication has helped the quieter participants feel more connected. And I can’t forget @FunCartel, who seems to have cornered the market on fun.

    Perhaps one day I will emerge from my cuddle deprivation. And meaningfully participate as they do.

    In perfect necromantic fashion.... I am posting here because I will miss @DarkLordChungus and @DarrenWalker their brilliant but quirky remarks ruffled a lot of feathers but they made a LOT of people think. Sometimes I got uncomfortable about what it was they were saying or didn't understand where they were coming from but I really appreciate the difference of opinion because it created diversity. EVERYONE needs cuddles and snuggles and acceptance and kindness along with fabulous debates that push boundaries. They will be missed by this girl.

    I think I will be deactivating because my heart is heavy for them being gone from our forums.

    @sillysassy 💯. I will deactivate as you said “in solidarity” even though for many this will be cause for celebration. But I will be back some sunny day.

    Though I may not deactivate just yet... as I've been writing with some people and I'd miss those connections.

    Also, to not invalidate the alignment I feel with what you've quoted by @Catloaf, I'll just share that my not being privy to the all the details around decisions made, nor who made them (as it's unclear), and having been swept up into ridiculousness myself here, I really do try to have compassion for all involved when things spin out. Behaviors are manifestations of needs both met and unmet. When at neutral, I try to ask myself, what happened? And in this particular case (with DW and DLC), there is no way for me to share my thoughts without violating the thread's intent.

    At the same time, I'm saddened we don't have a way to essentially air dirty laundry and to talk about the reasoning behind how things come to pass here. Maybe we could have a, "Trigger Warning - Lots To Be Offended By" thread, where such controversial things could be openly judged and debated with real examples given? Kinda doubt it wouldn't get closed... but still... I wish it could be a thing and if it were it would be something ultimately productive.

    I didn't even know those two were gone until just now. Damn, I will certainly miss their shenanigans and macabre humour. It's right up my alley honestly, and yes, it did add a little bit of diversity of opinion/voice to the forums.
