I was baffled by this for a moment. Then I remembered that people who don't work retail get holidays. Oh, yeah, I thought. Memorial Day. It's a holiday. Holidays exist. Wow.

I'll be visiting a cemetery where there are many military graves and leaving some flowers at a random one that does not have any.

The same way I spend every weekend - doing grad school homework. But will take some time tomorrow to reflect on the reason for Memorial Day. As an OIF/OEF veteran who almost didn’t come home alive, and a part of me didn’t, I ask us all to please take a moment to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice some have given for all of us.

Had to take 3 days unpaid leave to get them off, spent it in norfolk, U.K., home tomorrow early on

Mowing lots of mowing. Spent 4 days using a push mower already, last day will use the riding mower to finish the job.
Taking time to relax and do what feels right. Hang some curtains before the weather gets too warm, find some good recipes and cook up some good grub...maybe even find some new cuddle buddies!
