The new layout looks great HOWEVER (of course there is a complaint) the Nearby bubble got me excited until I found out it was full of really old accounts. One was last online 9 years ago!

@celticboy I noticed the same here, they were one and two years old. If someone local hasn’t been on in a month, I don’t think it’s useful for me to contact them.

The nearby bubble? Are those those annoying bubbles at the top that redundantly shows users already in the Pro / Enthusiast / Online tabs? I don't like that bubble row, it seems an unnecessary waste of space, and crowds the interface and pushes content down.
I do like the new tabs and pictures design though...
I'm not understanding the Online tab though; does that show people logged in within the last hour? I mean, it's not a chat website where your status is "a green dot" like Slack.
I thought the picture row already showed people that were recently logged-in... it seems odd to add an Online tab, it seems redundant.
The new layout is amazing honestly but yes those old accounts should be deleted with all do respect. Anything over 1 year inactive should be deleted.
The new layout is so FRESH!
The "Online" bubble shows those that were online today - sorted in a random ish order. This shares some similarities with the "Recently Online" section at the bottom of the dashboard, however that lists only 4 and is sorted in date order. You could see it as providing a summary of who recently used the site.
The "Nearby" bubble we intend to restrict this to showing only those members online in the last 1-2 years. That section may be hidden altogether if there are sadly not many results for your local area. Also we do have plans to start a gradual deactivation of very old accounts, as the community has been largely in favour of that.
One feature we would like to address is being able to search by multiple combinations e.g. "Professionals + Nearby + Online" - though that's a ux design complexity we haven't quite figured out yet.
We also intend to add more bubbles which hopefully will serve as useful quick toggles to find cuddlers relevant to you. It's a gateway into doing more advanced searches by tweaking the search filters individually. We understand it may not cater to everyone's needs, so advanced search is still there from the main menu.
Any suggestions and feedback on this is immensely helpful!

@Gary , I have seen that haven't been online for many years. My suggestion for those who haven't been online for 2 - 3 months would be to send them a notice to see if they re interested or even know that they are still here. It's possible that something happened and once things get better then they will want to resume. I also would not count out those who decided not to cuddle for awhile because of the Pandemic and are looking to come back soon.
Are you not already able fo filter your search to only include folks who have been online recently?
@Lev136 good suggestions! When we do get round to deactivating the old accounts they will be given fair notice with a courtesy and encouraging email for them to come back. The initial strategy will be just to deactivate their profile so they are not visible in search - however should they decide to return of their own accord their account will be reactivated and appear back in search.
I agree with @Myrddyn. Are we able to opt out of this?

[dunno] - [something based on which Filter fields get used most, if that can be figured out]
Good profile - sorted by distance; logged in within 6 months AND photo AND text > 600 characters

Cuddle Comfort advertises over 230,000 cuddlers which could be a factor for people considering signing up. I wonder what that number would be in inactive accounts were deleted.

@CuddleDuncan excellent ideas. We'll take those into consideration. Most of the current bubbles take into account gender preferences and we could also factor in age preference, as that is set when editing profile.
