Men, why do you cuddle?

Do you have a desired outcome for yourself when you cuddle? Often times we make decisions in life and are not aware of the actually reasons why we are desiring something we just see something that we desire and move towards that. In this case cuddling.

I encourage you to take a look at not what you want during the cuddle, but what you are really needing? The other stuff that you think is important will just keep you searching for the next thing that ultimately has you feeling empty.

What are your desired outcomes for YOURSELF, in who YOU are being in your life?

To give you an example, I created confidence, self respect, self worth, honor and grace in a whole new way as a result of the soul connections that I have had with cuddling and coaching clients!

This is your creation! Have fun with it! I cant wait to see one everyone creates for themselves below!

  • I believe what you say is true for some people but not for everyone. You are saying things that have been said for decades in some form or another in different “therapies”. Bottom line is everyone is searching for something that improves their existence either mentally, physically, spiritually or financially. Cuddling may or may not be that. It could be one piece of the puzzle out of a thousand. You just don’t know. I remember when the homily you espouse was practically word for word used for “financial self actualization” in the 80s. For me, I quit overthinking self improvement and let things affect and mold me more without “trying” to change and I found change through that. But that is one story out of billions.

I'm not a man, but I do definitely have a desired outcome for myself when I cuddle: I want the oxytocin. Desired outcome for myself is Me With More Oxytocin.

    Works pretty well!

  • I dont really overthink it like that

  • Cuddle it's a humans needs its God gift to mankind to feel loved and relief all pains and stress in life it's like a miracle

I like to cuddle because it's nice.

  • Cuddling is a fun way to bond, relaxing, mutually share trust and respect, when done correctly. I have met many unique people, through cuddling.

  • I had a wonderful platonic cuddle with someone yesterday. It got me so relaxed and in a great mood.
Later at night I had another wonderful cuddle with my wife (something that doesn't happen often enough).
I think the second would not have happened if not for the first.

    Desired outcome achieved. :)

  • @FunCartel Absolutely! What I say is not truth. And I agree, nothing I am saying is new! Cuddling is just one way to connect to ourselves of many and I love the opportunity! And I agree that trying to change doesn't work. I have it that we are perfect, whole and complete and cuddling is one way to ALLOW us to see that in OURSELVES and consequently BE that in our lives instead of the program that we wound up with. And I love this stuff and I realize its not for everyone and I'm not for everyone! Some puzzle pieces fit and some don't! Its when we find the ones that we fit with the the magic happens!

  • @SuperManCuddles Yes! The bonding of 2 souls unleashed is where its at! So fun! And when you have that time to be relaxed and trust and respect are present, what is available to YOU? A sense of what?

  • I like cuddling as both a somatic and cerebral experience. It's taught me a lot about consent and boundaries for one thing - it showed me boundaries I was ignoring, and even some boundaries that I didn't know I had, until they were crossed. It taught me that just because a man wants to snuggle, it doesn't mean he wants to, well...you know. It's taught me a little more than I would have expected it to. And that's why I do what I do and I hope to share it with others along the way if they're interested.

  • @Ahmedali999 Yes! Its is a miracle when 2 people give freely of themselves!

  • @pmvines Haha! I've been told I like to think, so I get that! What I am really asking here is what do you WANT to CREATE for yourself? I'm just asking about creation inside of a session because its a cuddling forum :) If there's one thing I want to think about its what I want to create for myself and my life, but I realize its not for everyone, lol

It's evolved. I used to think that I would cuddle and it would help me grow and that I can find some people to be mutual cheerleaders with. I realize now that that might be too big of an ask though. I have to be my own cheerleader.

Now, I cuddle simply because it feels nice.

  • @BestLovingTouch honestly no expectations of anything. It's a fun thing to do and I dont use it as a surrogate for something I'm missing or expecting it to fix anything. Nothing deep really, just something that is nice to do but not something I feel i would have to do.

Topics like this make me feel really, really far away from ever understanding humans.

A cuddle is a cuddle. Two people meet. They touch. Pleasant chemicals are created, enjoyable hormones are released. Maybe they discuss things that stimulate the release of more pleasant hormones. Maybe they play a game. Maybe they even do some catharsis, yell or cry. Doesn't matter, the goal is the same: feeling better.

It feels nice. Snuggling up to another human is basically guaranteed to feel nice (unless it's counterbalanced or outweighed by something else, like a bad smell or a physical threat or something).

This is all a cuddle can be relied upon for.

Trying to get it to give you confidence or self-respect or maturity or an extra three inches of height or whatever—oy.

I mean, sure, you might be able to use it for that. But your success or failure isn't down to it being a cuddle. A cuddle isn't some magical thing. Debate club can give you confidence, self-worth, maturity, grace... maybe even some more height if you get the club members to grab your head and feet and pull real hard.

A cuddle is like any other experience that way. It's a nice one. But it's not a magical miracle ™.

  • Overall, I like the soothing calming effect it has on me. I sleep better after a good cuddle. I also like the fact that you can cuddle with someone , in a platonic fashion , and not have to worry about dating or not dating. There is no pressure there on that part of what happens in the future..

Relieves stress. Platonic cuddling is a kind of shared meditation. No commitments except for the moment. No demands that a relationship requires.

  • My Significant Other is proudly and overtly non-tactile. For someone like me, who is tactile, that can be a long lonely journey through life - So, as well as the obvious oxytocin buzz that goes with that lovely sense of closeness one has with a cuddle buddy, it also is a reminder of who I am, how I’m made (rather than having to suppress that aspect of myself for such long periods of time).

  • It is different for everyone. My prime objective is known only at the time of cuddling—relaxation, stress reliever, sleep, socialization or just cuddling—I have zero expectations until my species comes down from Mobithia to pick me up in a terrestrial Gojaha. For the uninitiated a Gojaha is my planet’s equivalent to a Fiat and the reason I am stuck here to begin with. The intergalactic supply chain is broken.

  • I find cuddling relaxing, uplifting and peaceful, all at the same time. Oddly enough, I find it makes me feel similar to when I took ballroom dancing lessons. It has a similar effect. my wife says that I'm like a breath of fresh air after having done iether. I also am able too practice similar social skills. It's also helped my relashionship with my wife. as if that wasn't enough, I'm quite a tactile person and cuddling helps me fulfill that need. As others have said, there's a bond which occurs between two people who cuddle. I enjoy that as well.

I love ♥️ 💕 this thread !! & can’t believe I just came across it now lol, & think the title should be, “Men & Woman, why do you cuddle?” 🤪- great thread!! 😊

Edit : When I first joined, I was sooo hurt, sooo down (don’t know if I’m comfortable enough to make myself so vulnerable right now & share, even though I mostly try to be) but I wanted instant gratification/ instant feeling of love / care / & someone making me feel like I was the only thing that mattered in the world 🌎 in that moment, even if just for an hour.

I think I reached out to all the ladies near me & far away pro or not lol , & I based it regardless if their profile stood out to me, (I love to read profiles I love a really good about me & this was regardless if they had a pic or not) or if I found them attractive /to be my type)

It took me not long after to view this place not as another dating site, but for what it truly is.

  • @BestLovingTouch it's God gift to mankind to forget about pains, worries sadness and boosts happiness

The simple answer is: I haven’t in more than three years.

  • My desired outcome is to make my partner/client feel at peace. I've rewritten this about five times trying to ramble a dozen different reasons, but that's the bottom line. (Cause Stone Cold said so.)

  • I enjoy cuddling for the tactile sensation as well as the connection with another person through conversation. It feels good to me to hug and be hugged. I also like the feeling I get from helping another person meet their need for cuddling through my kindness to them.

  • [Deleted User]Travieso (deleted user)

I love cuddling. I'm gay but it's beyond the whole sex thing. It's just human tough. I love making someone feel good. I can hug anyone willing to receive the care.

@DarrenWalker o don’t think you are as far off as you think you are, some people just put too much weight inn things they are missing in their life (many touch starved), it is what it is guess. Bring touch starved cause me to put greater value in it which made me believe that it might have b some great effect on my self confidence, etc

  • [Deleted User]Saysoh (deleted user)

I've been career focused and have taken care of multiple family members that were terminal and have passed. For the past ten years, I haven't had much intimacy because of those obligations. I've never hired a cuddler, but I'm exploring the idea. I just miss holding and being held.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

@sunnysideup: This is a bit off topic, I think, so I'm putting it in a spoiler.

    Okay.

    [deep breath]

But that doesn't make sense! It's like, like, like if I'm short of iron in my diet so I convince myself that eating a rare steak will improve my social skills! Just needing the thing doesn't mean it can help me with everything! Sure, I need it! It's very valuable to me! But that doesn't make it magic! It's not gonna give me self-worth or confidence or honor or anything but proper nutrition! It's iron, not a magic wand! What kind of conclusion would that be to come to? Why would anyone do that with their brain?

...So, as you can see, I'm still pretty well baffled. But thank you.

  • @DarrenWalker I agree that cuddling is just a means to connection with yourself and that can be gotten with anything in life where you decide to pull your guard down and allow for connection with your SELF. I never said I was getting or giving respect from anyone. You added that.

I was simply inviting others to create an intention about cuddling that empowers them to see their greatness and shared how I became empowered by allowing for connection through cuddling. You can create something for yourself that inspires you, or not!
