I much appreciate that once blocked you no longer appear in their visitors. My question though is, does that take affect after you block a person or does it include the current visit (in which you are there to block them) and any past visits?
Previous visits will still remain in their list including the visit where you block them.
Also are there any plans to add additional ways of blocking users (for example, from any place in which their username shows up) so that you don't have to visit their profile?
The next update to the code will hide blocked users from your search results. Other than that, there are no other plans.
You also said that once blocked they cannot access their half of a conversation"... does that become available again if they're unblocked?
I don't think I said that. Previous private conversations will remain viewable to both parties regardless of block status.
And lastly, if a blocked person tries to visit your profile and they see that they've been blocked.. can they block someone in return?
Yes, they are actually offered that option out of fairness.

I have a suggestion for the search function. When setting your preferences to begin a search, it would be very helpful to be able to select host and/or guest.
I'll add that to the list for future consideration. I can imagine that would be particularly helpful when searching Pros.

If you mean by username, then you can just try entering it straight after cuddlecomfort.com/ in your address bar. If you mean by real name then that wouldn't be possible as we don't record real names for standard members.

@Mark I clicked on the link you gave to the wiki page on Markdown, but came away very confused. What does it actually mean for me? One thing actually stuck with me, and that is, it said something about being used in email, so I composed this in my email with the hope that the formatting I used there will stay when I paste it here. No such luck based on the preview function. Help! Jim
It's fine to just ignore it because buttons above the text-box should be sufficient for styling your posts.
Some people like to use the code manually. Reddit also uses Markdown as the way to style posts.

A huge thing for me would be if they put into the search criteria when they when the person was last on. ie If someone just want to look at people who are online now, nor the last week. etc. thats the biggest thing, for me, and would help a ton

But not just who is logged on. This would make searching easier.
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but how about a spot on the profile where it lists the distance the member is willing to travel for a session? For example, a member can list that she's willing to travel up to 25 miles etc
I second the "distance willing to travel" by @Morpheus.
I also like @Sol2 idea of showing when the person was last on. As Morph pointed out you do see who was online last in order but it goes from "online last 2 hours" to "online 9 months ago". Maybe an option to search by "online within the past day, week or month".

By this I mean, sometimes I pop into a thread and the first message I see is the original message. Sometimes it is the most recent message. Sometimes, with multi-page posts, the 1 2 3 4....page boxes are at the top of the page, sometimes they are at the bottom.
Suggestions: ^Have the most recent replies (last page) show up first, because many of us are following a thread and are waiting with bated breath for the next reply, and
^Place the 1 2 3 4... page boxes at the top and bottom of the page.
Hmm, that shouldn't happen if you enter via the index (list of topics). This forum's navigation conforms to the standard almost every other forum of its type uses. As in the latest post will always appear on the last page.
When you click into a forum topic from the index, it should take you directly to the latest post that you have not read. That will typically be the last page of a topic if you read the forum regularly. If you are only an occasional visitor then you will likely be taken to the first page of a topic because the first post will be the latest unread for you.

So when I referred to forum index, I'm talking about the actual forum, not the main website.
But I have just noticed that the Social box on the main website is only linking in a non-personalised way ignoring what you might have read.
Which of those paths are you taking?
Right, @Mark. I'll browse through the forum index, and I'll get mixed results. I'm going to do a test and see if searching by Recent Discussions has any effect/different results, or if there is a pattern.
What is the Social box? I get to the Forums by clicking on Forum on the left-hand menu.
