Other than cuddling

What else do you like to do with your cuddle partner? I like to put on a movie or cook for them while we settle into the atmosphere.

Sometimes I think I would like to go out and bowl or something and then return back to my place but I feel like the energy of being out in public would suck me right out of the cuddling mood.

Anyway: tell me about it!

Unless you count a pre-cuddle glass of wine and some getting-to-know-you conversation, I've never done anything with a cuddle partner besides cuddle. Then again, all but two of my cuddle partners have been pros, and with the meter running (so to speak) one tends to get right to it.

@teapot, given your expressed desire for silent cuddling and your general aversion to small talk, I'm struggling with picturing you cooking for someone and sharing a meal --- no talking allowed. ;-) I'm fine with silent cuddling (as long as it's not totally passive or inert cuddling), but most other activities would seem to require easy conversation in order not to feel awkward. Movies or concerts would be the obvious exceptions.

@quietman: I talk to them before I meet them, silly. You can't just let a stranger come lay in your bed! They could be an axe murderer or worse, someone who leaves their cell phone volume on high at the movie theater.

And there's always a little talking. "Are you comfortable?" "Are you warm enough?" "Are you thirsty?"

I just prefer my cuddling with pure, physical intimacy. It's a slightly immature thought, but if you talk to me and say something that bothers me, while I'm wrapped around you, then what? Now I have to lie there, uncomfortable and unhappy or awkwardly ask you to leave. It's easier to insisit on silence.

Although I have gone to lunch and or dinner with pro cuddlers before or after a session, Sounds like you're talking more about dating than cuddling.

I suppose you could consider it a platonic date. I don't think teapot meant they had different intentions, just that they like to have company aside from just the cuddling itself.
  • I have only ever seen one paid cuddler. and we had spent a lot of time just chit chatting, and went out to hang a couple times but this was outside of the apt time. During apt time pretty much just cuddling, apart from chit chatting during the cuddle session. She did tell me about a client of hers who is new to the trans world, and they spend time putting on make up, trying on clothes. etc, and this is how the client chooses to spend the session. Another client likes to dance so they spend half the apt time dancing and other half cuddling,I know if you do an overnight she cooks dinner, goes out to movie or to get drinks, and that sort of thing.

I like to know the people I bring back into my house. I don't want it to be like a date, or I'd slum it back to OKCupid. I'm personally trying to shorten the time spent dilly dallying online.

Yes, I've had partners that just come in, lay down, and go to sleep (I prefer them that way). But I've talked to them for a long time online and worked up that comfort while not having anyone to cuddle with.

I'm thinking if there are other things you could do so it can be like "Hi. Are you an axe murderer? We should take a walk in the park. Then if we aren't comfortable, we can split from there. Or everything is excellent and we can go cuddle." Instead of two weeks of arbitrary online interrogation for them to show up at your door and they have an unpleasant scent, or they are so naturally wound up that it makes it difficult for you to relax, or they chew gum loudly.

Cooking normally works. They come over. We eat in front of Netflix. If I'm uncomfortable, I cut it off. If the room feels good, I cuddle. I was just looking for other things to do. I figured I'm not the only one who provides or looks into other platonic activities.

tl;dr: I don't want a date. I want a neutral place or activity where you can get to know a person quickly before cuddling.
