Hypnosis/ guided meditation cuddles?

Has anyone combined hypnosis and cuddling during a session, and if so how was your experience? I occasionly use hypnosis to destress and deal with negative emotions, but I never went under with another person. Obviously you would need to build some trust first and both parties need to be comfortable with the idea. Hypnosis/ meditation have proven therapeutic benefits and sounds like it would be a great tool to use, but what you guys think ?

  • Whoa nelly!! That would be a hard pass for me!! I don't think I'd ever trust anyone enough for something like that. Like ever!!

Go you though if into it though!!

  • Definitely a pass for me.

A pass for me as well.

I'll note though that hypnosis is one form of a state of trance and a state of trance can also naturally occur when two people are silently embracing with rhythmic breathing.

  • I’ve done several meditation cuddles! Someone even let me practice reiki on them! And another requested 5 minutes of eye contact & silence, I love vibing with clients on a spiritual level 😌 those have been some of the best sessions for me 😌

  • To be clear... My answer was to the idea of, "hypnosis and cuddling" being paired - A for sure No.

Although I find cuddles to be meditative (since I tend to get all synced up and floaty in the one-minded focus of it all), it's not as if I've intentionally engaged in a meditative practice with someone while cuddling. Given the right framing, I might be into it though.

I attempted hypnosis many years ago. It didn’t go anywhere. As others have mentioned, I would need a great amount of trust to turn myself over to someone in that way. But the role of a therapist is guarded. They’re not there to talk about themselves, they’re there to talk about you. Though I may have great respect for such a professional, I could never develop that sense of unconditional trust.
In my experience, the most enjoyable cuddling is rooted in trust. So yeah, I could see that happening if someone is trained in hypnosis. I think it could be pretty amazing. But they would have to be truly skilled, and not just dabbling in the art. And I couldn’t imagine some sort of mutual hypnotic state. #1 Because I have no skills in this field. And #2 because I believe someone has to remain sober.

  • Hard pass! Thank you next.

Guided meditation while cuddling yes! As @quixotic_life says yes cuddling could be meditative.
@MCcuddles2 I agree with you on this, as our breathing synchronizes and our bodies start to kinda slow down get comfortable and feel safe in the environment we are in, yes my mind goes all zen…. Calm and there’s a quiet hum no loud incessant chitter chatter going on in my brain so yes definitely feels like meditation.

  • A pass for me.

I’d be too worried that the hypnosis would tap into my past life as Ghengis Khan…

Ghengis wasn’t much of a cuddler.

  • @CharlesThePoet 😂😂😂I’m trying to imagine you in full Ghengis Khan gear🧐😜

  • Would hypnosis change the dynamic of platonic? And confuse consent and therapy?

  • All this assuming you actually believe in hypnosis which I don’t so there’s that viewpoint as well …..
