No Karma?

[Deleted User]SouthernSky93 (deleted user)

Hello everyone! Thanks for clicking.
I'm a seasoned pro-cuddler, annnnd I love it here! 😁
I've always been confused as of to how some people can be on the site for years, and still have no Karma. (And yes, they've been recently active) Are these Bots? Mods? They can't ALL be. Any ideas or explanations?
Thanks in advance ☺

  • Hey @SouthernSky93, I had a similar thought couple of days back but then slipped off my mind.
Let's wait to hear from some more experienced cuddlers or site moderators.

  • Some of us barely get to meet others even once and of the few we meet either parties may not want it. Or be waiting for the other to do that first. As far as I am aware, no bots here. 👀

I suspect there are more than a few men, such as myself, that have yet to have a cuddle session with anyone.

    And women too, of course.

  • Also some people for whatever reasons just don't leave karmas.

  • They certainly are not mods or anything like that. I've never seen any evidence of bots.

Some people just don't like to use it. For example, I met one professional who was very clear that she preferred not to use Karma. Her family would not approve of her cuddling, and having no karma gives her a certain level of 'plausible deniability': "yes I have an account, but I've never actually done it".

There is also an unspoken social convention on this site that Karma is always 5 stars or 1 star. As a consquence, anybody who wants to write 3 star Karma just doesn't do it at all.

And then there is the big one - most people just can't be bothered, or don't think about it.

  • Some reasons why someone has no karmas & have been here for years could be because they refuse to cuddle pros, & setting up cuddles purely with enthusiats is not the easiest … also, the years doesn’t necessarily reflect a consistency of trying to set up cuddles, people would create a profile / not log on / & come back some time later (last year during the pandemic this was the case for many) … but than there’s also the flip side, I would ask the person if they have booked with anyone before & if they say no, try to find out if this is actually the case, if it turns out they did I wouldn’t pursue it any further just based on lack of honesty , if they say yes I’ll ask questions … hope this helps.

  • I created my profile in 2015 but was inactive from 2016 through late 2020.

Thanks everyone! All that's said has definitely shed some light, and given me another outlook on the topic. Much appreciated from all 🤗

  • I have taken a few breaks since I started.

But the pressure of karma can be daunting too. Whether a review is good or bad it reflects on both the person receiving it and the person writing it. Sometimes that can be too much for someone. I feel like it's good to have reviews as a professional but you never want to push someone to write about their experience if they aren't comfortable. Their boundaries and their level of comfort is something you want to protect even if it means you don't get any Karma.

You also don't want people to feel like they are just dollar signs so pushing them to do a review definitely is going to throw that vibe off. That's also just my opinion.

@Kashkita Good point, some people simply do not like to be perceived. Although I have never once asked anyone to leave Karma before, during, or after a session. In my case, most of them just do. I have had a couple hand fulls who haven't, and that is more then fine with me. I totally get what you mean though. Your response maybe has answered a different question I've had before.. "Why do some people not leave Karma after our session?"

Much appreciated food for thought! 🙏

  • I agree with you all the way @Kashkita : )

    The only time I’m
Against someone requesting no karma is if they know they did something wrong & don’t want the pro or enthusiast to maybe say something.

Since posting this I've also realized it could depend on how often someone schedules sessions. Maybe they just like to do it a couple times a year, @Kashkita said sometimes the pressure of leaving karma can be daunting - so it definitely makes since how someone (pro or not) may not have any karma despite length of activity, etc etc.

Yah'll are super helpful 🤗 I absolutely love all of the different views!

  • Not everyone leaves karma and even if someone has been on here a while, there are pages upon pages of posts from men saying nobody will cuddle with them so doesn't mean they are actually meeting with anybody or making efforts to do so. I for example have a pretty good amount of karma , however there are still prob like 7-9 people who didn't leave any for various reasons. Some are just briefly here and then fall off the site , some are new and dont really know that karma is a thing or they simply get busy and forget and pop in to the site from time to time but dont make leaving karma a priority . And I've had a couple people tell me they just dont like doing it , that it's kinda weird to them to rate a human interaction on a scale of 1-5 which I gotta admit I agree that it does tend to feel like it diminishes the authenticity of the experience and risks turning it into a popularity contest. So if I have like close to 10 people who didn't leave karma i still have met plenty of folks who have . But if someone has only met like 2 people since being on the site and neither were into giving karma , then it will look like they haven't met anybody.

Seems like I failed to realize how much things can vary from person-to-person before I posted this.
    You guys &gals rock 💌
These threads are beyond helpful !

  • I didn't leave karma for someone because I don't have any faith in their stability to receive it and proceed in a non-reactive manner.
So fear is another demotivator for leaving karma. I reported them but they're still here. It sucks because in choosing to not put myself at risk, I'm also not actively warning others. And it's hardly a consolation that if they do harm someone else, it's ultimately CC administration to blame for not banning him.

I cuddled earlier this year with a “non-karma’d” cuddler. She didn’t want me to leave any Karma after the sessions. She never gave me a reason, and I didn’t push the issue.

  • I've cuddled with exactly one person from here and if they hadn't left karma two or three years after we met up for the first time I would have no karma.

Time and what has been going on around me is a significant factor for me currently. If I didn't work and couldn't get or spread sickness I may have had additional cuddling experiences.

  • I personally don’t like people knowing my business. I never ask for it. I will leave Karma if asked. Otherwise, I’m fine with only a few people leaving karma.
