My day has been quite a bit of a rollercoaster pretty exciting thank you for asking @CharlesThePoet So I’ve notice your a poet, what’s your main background/scenery of the poems?
How some people can live decades without seemingly a moment of self reflection. And how I and another sibling managed to break that cycle in our family.
I started with Gaelic/Celtic poems and epics, and then found Haiku.
I also love e.e.cummings, and Carl Sandburg.
My poems run the gauntlet from thematic Haiku, often about nature, or my interactions with my immediate surroundings.
If I write free verse it tends to deal with my anxiety and depression, and is often dark, grieving, and not terribly shareable without plenty of warning...
Just coming out of the darkness, and tentatively clinging to the hope that I will be ok again. This too shall pass.
Pizza and Oreos with almond milk.
That I should stop drinking coffee before bedtime. But hazelnut is my weakness.
The disparity between the "haves" and everyone else and how I wish I could become one of them without "becoming" one of them... And how I'm craving some soft serve chocolate ice cream in a gettin' soggy sugar cone, but I'm probably gonna have to settle for an apple if anything... Boo... 🙇♀️

The fact that in the middle of a important meeting at work, with my head boss there when I'm probably being observed by him, I'm not paying attention and I'm thinking about Chinese food.
Just reflecting a bit … knowing I’m not perfect or ever claiming to be (I’m actually far from it), but being aware that my smile / happiness / & desire to help others (or brighten their days) is not something that will be well received by some … it is not something I experience in my personal life / work life / or online platforms ive recently joined for my new blockchain passion which have a tough crowd, ironically it comes from a place where the foundation is in cuddling / affection / & love …
Thinking about getting groceries delivered. I’ve never done it before, but I’ve just moved to a new city and seem to have hit a wall of exhaustion. I know I should save money and could well benefit from learning where some local grocery shops are, but I’m thinking ordering them to be delivered today could be a good exercise in self care. I have plenty of time to figure out the neighborhood.
Ehehehe, I've been thinking a lot about a cute girl I've been seeing. And feeling happy that the city is open, so we can go out and do things every weekend 😊 Life is good!
Sand between my toes. Warm sun draping over me. Salty ocean breeze.
@b0nfire get the delivery. The neighbourhood will still be there next week, you can explore it then. Moving is hard work.
On my mind today is how amazingly good outdoor cuddles are and why I didn’t start them sooner.

Outdoor cuddling, like outdoor everything else, is great... until the mosquitoes.
@CharlesThePoet so far it hasn’t been bad…but we have had a very dry year here so very little standing water for mosquito babies

I hope everyone is having a great day! I, myself am enjoying the day. Im really happy with the connections and people I’ve been meeting through cuddling. There’s something so wonderful about connecting with someone on just a human level & finding enjoyment in their company & presence. Comfort and joy in the simplest form, lately.

I was just engaging in my pursuit of hoppiness. I recently discovered hop tea, and I find it very satisfying, and not the slightest bit intoxicating.
I have a lot of experience doing the math behind Artificial Intelligence. I also have experience applying AI algorithms to solve problems. something popped out at me.
it takes a whole lot of math to build a video game. but people who are good at the video game don't necessarily have to understand that math.
similarly Artificial Intelligence algorithms are created using math. but you don't necessarily have to know the math to use them. (there are in fact so many algorithms out there now, that it is impossible for any single person to be an expert.)
which brings us to a point where people can be highly skilled at using Artificial Intelligence to do real world work, like a video gamer playing a video game. a new skilled career, based on a person's ability to use AI efficiently.
it's analogous to when computers first came out, where certain people had expertise in using them.
eventually AI algorithms will become so intertwined with our day to day lives, like computers are today, that it will no longer be a specialized field but just something everyone uses naturally.
@MCcuddles2 There is an assertion that any tool can be cut using a drill press and a lathe. Once a tool is made the need for a drill press and a lathe is no longer needed to use the tool.
Linear algebra is either a Rubik's cube or can be entered into a ti-83 and 3 button pushes dropped into rref (reduced row echelon form).
So, yes, technology removes the need for the knowledge of the source, unless you need to rebuild it.
Machine learning can be trained to exceed the level of humanities skill in many areas, but from a philosophical sense, I hope machine learning never asks “why am I doing this”.
I recommend watching idiocracy, a very crass but funny and thoughtful in a crass fashion movie.
It gives a perspective on what may happen when we lose our ability to build tools from the ground up. But, yes. Only a few need to know how to build the tools, the rest stand on their shoulders and create much greater things.
But, with ladders, it is never a good idea to take out the bottom rungs to build higher, because you can never go down and nobody can climb up to you without “reinventing the wheel”.
I’m thinking about how the company Eternal Reefs offers a service where they mix the cremated remains of a person with concrete to create a "pearl" onto which loved ones can etch personal messages, handprints or (environmentally friendly) mementos.
The pearl is then encased in a "reef ball" that is dropped into the sea, where it provides a new habitat for fish and other sea life, helping encourage a vibrant ecosystem.
