Audiobooks and snuggles

Recently had a cuddle where we listened to Levar Burton Reads while snuggling and then took time to chat about it and really dig into the short story he told afterwards. It was incredibly pleasant! I've read stories to people I've cuddled with out loud before, but Levar Burton himself is just such a pleasant guy to listen to. Anyone have any other audio suggestions?

    This actually sounds like potentially a great idea. I've always been fairly ambivalent about watching TV while cuddling; while it can be fun, it's kind of a distraction from the cuddle. But an audiobook might be just the ticket, a shared experience where you don't have to pay attention visually.

    That said, this is very much a niche suggestion, not for everyone, but I really enjoyed the Red Dwarf audiobooks, and sharing them with the right person would be great.

    It's been quite a while since I've watched Red Dwarf and never read the books. Is it voiced by any of the crew? Holly would probably be appropriate, haha

    Yeah, the narrator is Chris Barrie, who plays Rimmer, and he does an extremely good job, as I recall when voicing the various characters he sounds just like them.

    @Annichka ~ I love this!! Levar Burton was one of my favorites when I was younger (Reading Rainbow not Star Trek - though I did like him on that too).
    I'd didn't know about this, so I'm stoked to go check it out!!
    If still looking for other authors who have recorded audiobooks, Mke Birbiglia and David Sedaris are two of my all-time faves and great fun to listen too!!

    My favorite story read by Lavon Burton so far is "Black Betty". I hope you listen to it if you get the chance ❤

    @MxSmith that's awesome! I adored Black Betty and have met the author Nisi Shawl on a few occasions as they're also local to Seattle!

    I really enjoyed SO MANY OF THEM. One that really stuck with me was The Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu and legit ANYTHING NK Jemisin or Nnedi Okorafor has written
