  @mark, I am getting the same error but only a certain times of the day.

  Pages are taking a long time to load (messages, forums, etc).

  I just got a personal welcome message even though I've been here for at least a year.

  Sorry, there's been some server testing due to a CPU/disk issue with backup operations. I did a few reboots yesterday as well. All of this would have caused the gateway errors.

  No, just a friendly member being friendly. I guess the use of 'we' in the message is potentially confusing.

  Sorry for the downtime earlier today. There is potentially a disk performance issue here and therefore we attempted to migrate to a new server. That was supposed to be less than an hours downtime but engineers ran into trouble and ultimately had to postpone. It will be rescheduled sometime soon.

  Possible as there was a change done by them but safest option is to migrate as I'm concerned it's unstable.
  
  This will be scheduled for tomorrow at 2am PDT and should be under two hours.

  Migration was completed earlier today. So far so good in regards to disk performance.
