Do any of you mix different cereals together? And what do you use for milk?
I love mixing Trix and Cheerios/Honey Nut Cheerios! Random question…but I am curious!
That's really cool never crossed my mind. I grew up eating Kellogs,,, added sugar n bananas. Frosted Flakes, it was my long time favorite one.
I never thought of that, but my all time favorite is hands down captain crunch 🥣
I don’t eat cereal.🙈
As a kid I was a cereal killer.
I was mixing the various flavors of Cheerios from a young age, with Nestle Strawberry milk.
In related news, I was pretty hyper as a child...
Never mixed and I try to avoid cereals. Though I hate that I am tempted to mix them now. 😅
Enjoying the memories this thread brings up.
Thank you for sharing everyone! Got the BIGGEST smile on my face when I saw there were some comments!
Do not mix cereals. I eat bran flakes.
Soy milk or 1/2 & 1/2
Thanks for the reminder. I forget cereal is an option. Quick, easy, sweet and wet comfort food.
Ooooh I’m all for this!
We mix Cereal in my house! Fruity pebbles & fruit loops with marshmallows or Frosted Flakes! There really is no bad combination
@bellebeauty
I must respectfully disagree.
Anything with GrapeNuts is terrible, including other GrapeNuts…
@CharlesThePoet - I’m so sorry for the confusion- I meant there’s no wrong combination with my chosen flavors lol
Grape nuts are not needed here, sir. Or Raisin Bran for that matter.
I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cocoa Puffs. I also like the taste of whole milk but my body doesn’t. So 1% is less harsh
As a child, I use to mix Count Chocula and Franken Berry. Way too sweet for my tastes as an adult.
This brings back memories to when I still ate cereal. 2 shredded wheat biscuits, crushed before opening the bag, covered with ungodly amounts of sugar, then doused with moo juice.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes (die-AB-uh-teez) has put an end to all that, and breakfasts are mostly protein now.
Does eating non-cereals the way you would eat cereal count? When the only tortilla chips left are crumbles, I put them in a bowl with salsa and eat them with a spoon. When there is nothing left but cookie crumbles, I put them in a bowl with some kind of milk and eat them with spoon; for example, when all that’s left of Thinster coconut cookies is crumbles, I put them in a bowl with coconut milk and eat them with a spoon.
I’ve never mixed cereals but I might now lol. I’ll eat cereal once in awhile. I’m more of a smoothie girl these days, I’m on the go a lot and I can drink them in my truck
Don't eat cereals very often anymore, but as a kid I used to sometimes mix coco pops and shreddies - think the first time it was because there wasn't enough of one for a full bowl, but after that it was just a thing I did when I was in the mood for something a bit more "exotic" than just coco pops or shreddies. From the looks of things a number of other people did similar stuff.
Also, reminded of this bit from Ratatouille:
Marginally tangential: how many people keep their milk on the door of their refrigerator? (re-fruh-JAIR-a-tohr)?
(Yes, I pronounce it that way, but only to be silly)
@Zundar "Shreddies" as in shredded wheat biscuits? I love Britishisms! Love the Ratatouille clip too… 😂
@nurturingman Yup! Shreddies is the name of the cereal rather than slang for shredded wheat biscuits as a whole, just in case that's what you're thinking.
Oh, okay. I thought it was like brekkie for breakfast, tradies for tradesmen, and trackies for sweatpants. 😆
Two Weetabix as a base and Corn Flakes on top.
This is a lovely walk down cereals of breakfasts past. AppleJacks, Honeycomb, Lucky Charms... and I mixed Franken and Boo Berry cereals like @parkwayvisual mentioned. Those were my jam as a kid. But from teens forward, I couldn't deal with sugar cereals. I'm with @CharlesThePoet on Grape Nuts, though -
Behave, all. I'm off to the dentist for my thrice yearly cleaning.
I would have never thought to mix cereals! That being said, I can not compromise the flavor profile of my Cheerios and 2% milk with sugar sprinkled on top. 😄
@Charles the poet Grape nuts are okay but grape nut flakes I think taste really bad like cardboard and they have a bizzare texture.
currently eating a bowl of Pops, as I reply to this.
Bowl of cinnamon life cereal. Because who doesn't like to ponder on life while eating it?
Also Honey Buches the Orginal, I add cinnamon and honey to mine.
Both cereals get 2% milk or vanilla almond milk.
