How is everyone doing

Hey guys I’m new to the community and I was just wondering how is everyone doing today

  • Hi @calebshugs I'm doing pretty good. It's a little too hot out today for my liking but survivable.

    How is your day going?

    Thanks for asking! I'm bummed, because I just had to drop out of an endurance event I've been training for because of an injured foot. I was hoping it would be healed enough that I could complete the event next month, but I reached the conclusion today that it's not progressing quickly enough for me to do the training needed to be ready for that event. So, I'll be taking some rest time over the next month or two to try to get it fully healthy for future events. Thanks for asking!

    I’m doing well enough. The pandemic has wrecked my life in a lot of ways and that and having been forced to move recently has left me feeling isolated, lost, and adrift. I did have a really good phone call with a friend this morning. It could be worse. I have a roof over my head, I’m healthy enough.

    @Protector, sorry to hear about your injury but good for you for taking care of it.

    I'm feeling pretty crappy. It's been a very emotionally draining day. I just want to crawl in bed and sleep until I don't have to adult anymore.

    @Babichev

    Same same.

    If you need a pleasant, encouraging voice, or simply a non-judgmental ear to cry and shout into, don't hesitate to reach out to me.

    You are not alone in feeling this way.

  • I wish this community could all meet in one place! There's a whole tanker ship full of love and respect. Some of us are overflowing, and others feel depleted. I bet we'd all leave feeling lifted!

    One of the best lessons I’ve learned in being a caregiver is that I don’t HAVE to be at my best to give my best.

    I can set the bad day aside for later, hold space, be present, and make a positive difference even though my anxiety or depression is begging me to “just lay down, just for a while…”

    It’s good to know that I have more than I thought I did.
