Professional cuddling stigma

I'd like to start off saying that I'm new to the site. I did have my first session with a pro a couple days ago and it was an amazing experience. I've been a little concerned about how the rest of the world views this industry. I've seen people say that it's creepy and only shady people would pay for such a thing. I'm afraid to tell anyone about this site because they might assume that I'm paying for sex or trying to. I don't think that this is any different than going to a massage therapist.

I agree Mike403.  When someone goes to a massage therapist, it does not have the same stigma as cuddling even though the therapist is rubbing her hands on someone's body.
  • Dear All, How has this come about, cuddling is about giving and receiving energy, balancing your body rithium, I and thousands of medical staff do it every day, all over the world. If you think in a particular way, ie Cuddling is sexual then that is the way people see it in you, as you give out that vibe.
I hold the hands of so many people who are leaving this realm of life, it is cuddling, it is connecting from one person to another, the photo on the front page of the site shows a common nursing cuddle, often used to help people go off to sleep, where is the public opinion in that.

I think that it's hard as an outsider who's never experienced a platonic session (with a pro specifically). It honestly is a form of therapy. The benefits of cuddling have been scientifically proven and we are a way for getting that need met in a safe and judgement free zone.

And having not experienced that, it's a lot harder to understand!

  • @mike403 I have definitely encountered similar situations. Some believe that paying for a session of just cuddling is weird and I have even been asked if it's an escort service lol. However, cuddling has a lot of benefits both for the client and the professional. It's a huge stress reliever.

I've told one of my friends (more as I see them) about my first cuddle session with a pro recently, I'll pick who I'll tell carefully I can't be done with the hassle and rumours of telling most people

I definitely am not open to telling people tbh esp being female. I definitely think there's an escort stigma attached.

  • I did say to lass that I know about couple of sessions I had with one pro. SHe thought it was weird
