Booster Shot or Not

  • @NicoSnuggs Nothing about the hospital costs once you get sick from Covid? My acquaintance is in it for $600,000 dollars after insurance and looking at divorce so his wife and kids won’t lose their house. The result of a three week hospital stay. He is 34 and financially ruined.

@supadupa / @Sashamcgee / @NicoSnuggs I agree with you both 💯% … the site owner/s (not mods) but owners should really consider the vaccination topic right along with political & religion (much better if not discussed ever again on the forums / threads) it is very evident that In past threads where the OP is stating news or different statistics , there aren’t any issues , but in threads like this one where the OP asks “will you take yours when the time comes” / or “are you for vaccine” it is completely not welcomed by the active mod & the majority of the thread participants if someone answers the op truthfully … ive even seen the mod state , “your opinion is ok, but going against science 🧪 is not” with a big scarlet letter (or highlight in this case), this means that no, opinions & thoughts are not welcomed for those who are not for, or simply have concerns.

  • @FunCartel Trying to reason with people who just won't take the vaccine seems pointless sometimes.

So even if they aren't going to require pro cuddlers to show proof of vaccination they should have a checkbox you can check so people know. That way you can find cuddlers easier by using a search query that excludes or includes the vaccination status. Its important to many people and will be for some time.

  • @Melancholy You are right, it does seem pointless. But people have to speak up for the children. If this only affected a few adults who want to play Russian roulette I would let it go. But their selfishness can kill kids as much as they try and deny it.

  • @cuddles_ndream - you're correct, you are entitled to your opinion. One post on pseudo science and conspiracy theories, however, and we get into the world of forum timeouts. Thanks for playing, and stay safe.

Remember the forum rules on Covid:

Accurate information is critical for something as serious as Covid-19, particularly for a cuddling community. For this reason, we may intervene in response to misinformation, fake news or conspiracy theories on this subject.

Sooo true !!! I believe everyone is entitled to whatever reasons works for them, & that would be a great idea to have a certain box to check on your profile , but simply you can always ask the pros & enthusiast, and you can also volunteer the information on your profile (I have done so for the people concerned & I genuinely think its only fair)

there are countless of reasons why someone would want / or wouldn’t want to take the vaccine (there isn’t 1 box 📦 for all) I’m pretty sure reasons very between health reasons / to simply not caring / as well as individuals referring to recent historical pharmaceutical events where fda approved medications caused adverse or severe adverse effects after fda approval … if I were to simply answer the op’s question with, “No, I will not be getting the booster vaccine”, this would have been enough to make myself & others with similar opinions a target at being talked down to / accused of being murderers (even without charges ever being filed) & a group of people having the support of certain others to simply be attacked , “playing this game, thanks for playing” as they put it …

Site owner plz consider removing this topic from forums & threads, thank you.

  • @cuddles_ndream - you can take it up with me or Mark in PMs. Not this thread.

  • The claim that you cannot sue and be compensated if you are harmed by a vaccine is false.

What is true is that you cannot sue the manufacturer or the FDA. However, there is a National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program that is set up to handle such claims.

  • I am looking forward to any and all mRNA vaccines they want me to get. I have both Moderna's and I'm looking at an appointment for a third.

    @PeopleLikeUs 👍👍👍 For the third shot…

  • No booster for me to answer the OP question. What is the end game? Will you have to get a booster every 6 months or so to fight Covid? I don't think Covid will ever go away.

  • Libra it's like the flu shot. You need one every year. Unless everyone is convinced to get it and socially distance to really stop the virus then it will never go away.
There is no end game for the common cold virus either.

Fact is, we don’t know yet. Only time will tell. If I have to get a booster every 6 months or a year to stay safe, I’ll do it. I already get seriously ill when I get bronchitis, I can’t imagine what this virus might do to me.

  • I'm going to have a rough next few weeks---I'm going to be due shortly for my second shingles shot soon (the first one was far more painful than either of my two Pfizer shots) in addition to going for the booster Covid shot and the flu shot within the next few weeks.

  • @parkwayvisual wow that’s a lot of shots in a short period!

Having all 3 vaccinations, the first shingles shot hurt a lot. Fortunately the pharmacist shot me in right arm because I’m left handed. My right arm after shingle vaccine felt like it was going to fall off !

@OhioMike The arm is that sore after a shingles shot? I have never had it because I got shingles a few years ago and it was f’n painful beyond description. My doctor says I could get that vaccine but the recurrence of shingles is relatively low once you have had a full blown case. Unfortunately I would not wish a full blown case on my worst enemies. Like being pierced with a thousand knives.

  • @FunCartel ive always heard that too, that shingles is miserable. You know how they make you wait 15 min or so after the shot to see if you have a reaction? Mine was like 60 seconds and my arm was throbbing. I thought the needle broke off or something. She just told me to “Advil” the crap out of it and take it easy So glad she did right arm though being left handed. She didn’t ask so my advice is pick which arm you want shot before 😊
