What’s up in your world?
Had a job interview today... It would put me closer to the red line, but I think it would be a better fit for my skills, interests and limitations too. So ultimately worth it...?
Not lots. Had an uneventful day. Went to the rabbit shelter tonight where I usually volunteer on Wednesday and Friday evenings. I finished early and went around and gave some love to some of the bunnies.
There were three rabbits that I had taken on as “projects.” They had personality problems that kept them from being adoptable. Two of them are not being fostered. The third one is a real success story. I started working with her and over time managed to socialize her. She recently got adopted. One of the other volunteers asked me if I needed some new “project” rabbits. We have a couple that are so timid that it may become a barrier to their adoption. So I’ll start working with them, try to slowly get them accustomed to human interaction.
I stopped at an Indian grocery to get a few things, I’ve been making Indian dal and saag paneer lately.
That’s about it. A friend is coming into town tomorrow to teach a class so I’ll be hanging with him a bit.
Lazy day today. I ordered food and I'm watching movies all day.
Today’s vibe, hitting all the green lights while my favorite song plays on repeat! Could be the oxytocin overload by way of incredible cuddles but I hope it’s contagious!
Had a private Kung fu class with my SiFu, tidied the house in prep for a kids play date and now sat on my phone on the sofa while my hubby is at band practise! 😂
Lost my keys, spent hours looking for my keys, took a roommate’s spare key and went to get a covid test and some other things for school, went to Home Depot to make a new set of keys, bought some beer and ice cream, and came home to celebrate a successful day. 🥳
Update... They said I, "blew them away" at the interview and they offered me the job! Woot!!
So, as long as there's no change in my benefits, I'll sign on the line tomorrow and will start on the 20th!! (giving me a couple weeks to help the kiddos with routine establishment and doing what I can to set my replacement up for success) ~ I'm sooooo excited!!
" . . . make me feel so young. You make me feel so spring to sprung! And every time I see you grin, I'm such a happy individual."
@quixotic_life , congratulations! That’s great!
