Scam Cuddlers

  • Ok so I couldn’t find anything about no shows. Just cancelling. There might be something about no shows and payment isn’t regards to no shows but all I found was what our contract says about those who cancel 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Exactly @Sheena123. The client has no recourse if they get scammed.

  • @MaineCuddle When meeting at a hotel, have your Cuddle partner pay for the room, to show their commitment to you. You can reimburse them later for the cost. If they won't commit to upfront cost, well....that should tell you something.

  • @Justasmile that’s what I do. I have them pay for the hotel. If they aren’t able to host or they don’t want to come to me, that’s the only option.

@frace95 you mentioned before trying to get in touch with professional cuddlers here, you tried enthusiasts and "untagged professionals". People who call themselves professional without the pro tag should be reported. People cannot charge money if they are not designated professional on the site.

@eptx you do know that pros have to claim their earnings and pay self-employment taxes, right? It's not necessary to form an LLC for a business but some of the pros here do have LLCs.

@Justasmile I happily do that, and in the case that they do not want to be the one to get the hotel, I require a deposit.

  • @MaineCuddle

So you get a 1099 from cuddle comfort? You're saying cuddle comfort reports your earnings to the IRS?

    Which pros have LLC's?

I own a business. I know how things work. Being self-employed doesn't necessarily mean you own a business. If you're a professional cuddler you don't own anything. You're like a gig worker.

Seems like the various sides of this topic have been well represented. Closing the thread before it spirals into personal attacks.
Everyone: Please report any account who attempts to scam you.
Professionals: Per the T&C you are allowed to charge rates and deposits as you see fit and the market allows.

  • Post script. @eptx showed himself the door. There's some serious gall and irony that he's posting on a scammer thread.
