Deleted...by self vs. site..

I've noticed that sometimes a profile will be deleted and it will come up that either the person deleted it him/herself or that the site deleted him/her for breaking the rules. Why does sixths come up ? Other times, it just says the person was deleted. Are they deleted or is it just another way to say they were banned ?

  • I think the egg came first.

On a serious note, it could be by either parties, it doesn't specify on the user's end. Hopefully it was made ambiguous for a good reason. :)

What is sixths? As for your question about whether the profile was deleted by the user or banned by the site, I don’t know the answer to that. I do know that in my older messages, some users no longer on the site are marked “deleted” and some are marked “banned” so I’m assuming in that context the user deleted their profile themselves. If you see a big red X next to a name in the forums, they were banned.

  • I think he meant “this” but it came out sixths

  • @Lev136 are you referring to the user being deleted or the thread and /or comment

  • When you delete your account it's scheduled to take place in 30 days - during this time you can choose to stay. Once the deletion is processed at the 30 day mark, the profile will show a different message.

So the difference in message you are seeing is down to scheduled deletion vs actually deleted. We don't publicly differentiate between user deletion and mod deletions.
