just know you’re enough 🌌

Don’t wait on someone to have fun with / to go out with / to go to that delicious restaurant you’ve been wanting to go to or watch that amazing movie at the theaters … self care is so important- be it a day at the beach / by the lake / to stargaze or find peace & comfort within yourself … the day you realize that your company is enough you’ll see everything differently… go for that hobby you’ve always wanted to pick up / go to that book store & read that book / knowledge is empowering & its never too late to learn a new field or industry that you are passionate about (no one is ever born an expert & everyone starts brand new). Doing the things we are passionate about allow us to meet & mingle with like minded people, & for anyone who comes in our lives (or we allow them in),they should add to our peace & enjoyment, not take away from it … so just know that you are enough and life is what we make of it & your happiness is unique to you.

    @cuddles_ndream
    I love this!
    And also in addition to not waiting for someone else, don’t wait period!
    The pandemic has taught me to go out and do what I want to do. Seize the day as tomorrow isn’t promised. It’s made me re-prioritise what’s important to me. What to say no to and what to say yes to.

  • “don’t wait period”! @YourEmbraceMel

    This ^! Ty 🙂

    The title and body of your post remind me of a song by Kina called “Me”:

    My heart's jumpin'
    God, I'm feelin' open
    Spent a long time mopin'
    Get a load of me, feelin' free
    No pain no more
    No blockin' up my own door
    All anger out my back door
    God, it's good to see

    Life,
    Got kinda hard, I faced it
    Fought and cried and almost gave in
    All negative forces faded
    Love of me just walked right in

    I'm just me, I'm enough
    With myself I'm in love
    I've been weak, I've been low
    Made me strong, now I know
    I'm just me, I'm enough
    Nothin' less, nothing more
    I wish everybody could just feel this kind of love

    Feels good, feels fine, feels good, yeah
    My mind's older
    Chip's fallen off my shoulder
    All need to prove is over
    Good enough for me
    Found willingness
    Found will to be courageous
    No need to feel defenseless, Peace

    I'm just me, I'm enough
    With myself I'm in love
    I've been weak, I've been low
    Made me strong, now I know
    I'm just me, I'm enough
    Nothin' less, nothing more
    I wish everybody could just feel this kind of love

  • Definitely needed to hear this today

  • @cuddles_ndream I love this post as well! Really resonates with me. I was in a relationship from age 19-30 and felt lonely, heartbroken and lost when it ended. Became downright depressed at times. My relationship preceding that was from age 16-19 which truly meant I’d never been single. I didn’t have a clue that not only would I be able to survive but I was fully capable of thriving on my own! The shift for me was when I began making new friends. Many a weekend I found myself cuddling on the couch with a single friend of mine binge watching netflix beneath her three massive boxer pups who knew not their size nor boundaries. Just being close to friends and experiencing their touch and comfort platonically was incredibly restorative for me. It gives me immeasurable satisfaction to know that I am helping people in that same way when I get to connect with them and hold them, be held by them, or even try that new restaurant or hobby with them.
    Having that connection put me in the state of mind to realize I could do the things I was waiting to do with a partner or see the places I wanted to see on my own. I haven’t looked back since!

  • @nurturingman you found the perfect lyrics / song to the message! Thank you for sharing the lyrics I read all of it & heard the song after (this is 100% what the post is about I really appreciate that) 🙂

    @ILikeWarmHugs your such a kind soul! Ty 🌌

    @Touch_You_Crave “I haven’t looked back since”! Your vulnerability in sharing all that with me & others was so amazing of you, I’m going to share something I shared with someone here yesterday -

    “ There’s a great deal of people out there who are lonely / feeling down / maybe depressed, who haven’t realized just yet how amazing they are …. I know that there are many in this community because for most of us here, loneliness led us here … be it that we are shy / timid / introverted / experienced a loss / break-up / not having a special someone there / falling out with friends - family or maybe they are not in our immediate distance & the list goes on. I know because ive been all those things, & it was the hardest thing for me to do (to get out of my shell) and once I did my entire world changed 🙂”

  • @cuddles_ndream how wild is that we are vibing on the same sentiment. Such a testament to the human experience! Your post is very well said!

  • Thank you for this post because I really need this!!!!! Im really depressed these days of my life!!!!!

  • I’ve been single for quite some time and do a lot of stuff alone - movies, eat out, go to festivals. I once drove 300 miles to Chicago to go to a dance where I did not know a single person. I’ve traveled in Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, and Mexico alone. There aren’t always people available to do the things I want to do when I want to do them so I’ve adapted.

  • @cuddles_ndream you always make my heart happy 🫂🥰
    Life is really too short…. Do whatever the hell makes you happy!
    Carpe Diem!
    In omnia Paratus!

    @nurturingman that song…. I needed to hear that🫂
    I'm just me, I'm enough
    With myself I'm in love
    I've been weak, I've been low
    Made me strong, now I know
    I'm just me, I'm enough♥️

  • @girl50 a million hugggzzzz your way!!! 🫂

    @Babichev ”so ive adapted” 😊

    @Melomaniac9 you're the warmest soul 🌌😘

  • Sharing activities with another person adds to the experience if it's the right companion. If it's the wrong person it can subtract from the experience. The other advantage of sharing an activity is it gives you someone to recall experiences with in the future.

  • @UKGuy everything you mention I completely agree with : ) … my only hope is for absolutely no one to let life pass them by, by waiting on the right companion… I truly genuinely believe every single one is enough, and any companion or friendship should be a bonus, not a necessity.
