And glorious Harvest Moon beams...
Glad to see a post about the equinox. We don't pay enough attention to the rhythms of our world.
@quixotic_life - same to you! Love the pic.
Thank you to all the farmers out there who do the actual harvesting. We couldn't eat without you.
@cookiecrumb - 💯
Happy autumn 🖤
In LA we have 50 weeks of Summer a year. It was 100 degrees today.
Awwwww @quixotic_life what a GORGEOUS picture!!! I love love love taking time to appreciate the Sun and moon, the stars the planets etc. It feels like I'm learning about life and what's around me ALL OVER again!! 🌈🦋🎃 Thank you for reminding us.
@cookiecrumb you are very sweet and thoughtful. After being a farmer for 15 years, you find that not everyone is as kind as you. Most people are just a little too annoyed that your big air seeder and tractor are taking up THE WHOLE DIRT ROAD!!! hahahahhahaha I am so excited for the change of the season. I love it!! The next beautiful thing is right around the corner.
@quixotic_life happy autumn 🍂 cuddle season is upon us 🫂!
Fall is actually my favorite time of year, as temperatures are cooling off.
Happy Equinox! Went to a little harvest moon party, stood around a bonfire eating some good food. My own harvest this year consisted of about 12 cherry tomatoes, a small bowl of tiny chard that never really got going, and one very odd looking squash that is the size of a zucchini but the color of a pumpkin. Well, I tried. Half-assed really, but nevertheless, I find it important to grow something even if it's just a placeholder for the amazingly abundant farmer that I have yet to be.
Anybody else harvest much? I love going to the farmer's market and seeing what the real farmers are doing.
