I think I would like to go to the Big Band era to meet and jam with some of the great musicians of that time. Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Charlie Parker, etc.

I would go back to visit myself when I was in high school and prevent a few key personal choices in my life that would lead me on to a greater future. Granted I love the life I live in now, but there are a few major personal (this or that) choices that I would give anything to redo.
I would go back in time to the day before my mom got into a plane that killed her at a fairly young age. If I couldn’t convince her to not go or go with me someplace else instead, I would at least tell her I love her and how much she means to me as I didn’t get to originally. The last thing I said to her was on the phone and that I would talk to her next week. That opportunity never presented itself.
@FunCartel Sorry to hear of you losing your mom at a young age. I’m sure you keep memories of her to this day. I’m sure your mom knew how much she meant to you. All of us struggle with that aspect of letting others know how we feel about them often. It’s hard to think that what’s today may not be what’s tomorrow which makes it so hard to live in the moment.

I wonder what would happen if we took a poll..... @FunCartel oh my friend...... There are a lot of people in my past who I wish I could tell them how much I love them one last time as well. (Though I think somehow a Mom knows) I am grateful for experiences that teach us to say I LOVE YOU LIKE CRAZY in the present now.
Somewhere in the future where things would be better. We would have a more peaceful and accepting society.
@Lev136 You are more optimistic than I am or scientists. This was discussed at the United Nations a couple of weeks ago. Because of climate change which will inevitably lead to a scarcity of water and food, they are predicting the collapse of governments, social order and increase of all-out warfare. We have begun to enter the intitial phase of this happening far in advance of their initial calculations. People will become desperate and lose hope and have nothing to lose. People are not at their best under crisis when not given a pathway to hope.
The rich will be ok because they will jump aboard spaceships with Richard Branson, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos at $100,000 plus a person.

And hugs to you ~ Mom loss with regret/unattainable wishes is a tough one to have turning over in one's heart and mind. 🫂

Not sure that it would be worth the bother to survive the collapse…
My “go bag” is a lot of psychedelics, enough canned food and bottled water to last for a week, and a headset and Walkman with enough batteries to last a week.
Then it’s simply find a reasonably comfy safe place, listen to good music, see killer colors, and wait for the week to end.

I’m curious now 😅 if we were to time travel in this scenario, would we physically be there or would we be there by invincibility where we can see what’s going on but nobody noticed us nor could we change the course of history / past / future by our presence alone (when I first answered I assumed it would be through invincibility)
