Cuddling at a hot tub spa?

I have been a member of Cuddlecomfort for almost a year. I am a male and where I live there are very few local female cuddlers. Most of the female cuddlers on Cuddle Comfort live 70 to 100 miles from my residence. Whenever I see a new female cuddler approximately my age and living an hour or so away I will send them a reply message mentioning it would be a good idea to meet half way, and I always mention this half way point could be at a nice, relaxing hot tub spa. In the past year I must have wrote a dozen or so reply messages to new female cuddlers, actually wrote one today asking to meet halfway at a spa. Not once have I ever received a reply, even a courtesy reply indicating that they could not be available. I thought cuddling at a hot tub spa would be a great idea, but maybe I am wrong. Does anyone out there have any thoughts and/or experiences cuddling at a hot tub spa? Good idea? Replies are much appreciated.

  • I think you will find that until you have an established rapport with some trust with someone you aren't going to have too many people just willing to drive out to meet a stranger for a cuddle, especially a long distance and at a hot tub.

  • Agreed. Hot tub is a red flag, with its intimations of nudity and other boundary crossings that are very far from the platonic cuddling this site espouses. As a woman I would never respond to any messages wanting to meet at a spa or anywhere similar.

  • And plus, even though this is a cuddling site, doesn't mean people are going to be willing to jump into a cuddle scenario site unseen. You do have to build something with folks on here, same as you would any other friend of acquaintance. Even the paid cuddlers have reason to be apprehensive about things, as safety as well as context is always an issue.

  • I see where you are all coming from but still what difference is there between a hot tub or someone else's residence, though? I believe, if anything, since it is a public place a hot tub spa would be considered a better option. For what it is worth I have also suggested having cuddle sessions at movie theaters and again never heard from anyone. At the very least a courtesy response requesting to meet "to get to know one another" would be nice. To change the subject I have been a member of Cuddle Comfort for almost a year, sent probably over 100 replies including professional cuddlers and have received only three replies back, a lady who indicated it would be nice but would like to have coffee first but shortly thereafter left Cuddle Comfort, another lady who I had a nice lunch with but never was able to cuddle with, and a third lady who I did cuddle with, my only cuddle in nearly one year and had to travel 100 miles for. In summary I just do not get it, the ladies here sign up to cuddle, you ask them respectfully if they want to meet anywhere, etc., but do not even give a courtesy response back asking to meet for coffer beforehand, etc.. I have had some local professional cuddles with some very nice ladies from Cuddlist and Snuggle Buddies and I guess that is the way to go. Cuddle Comfort, while a great concept, just is not a good place to meet and cuddle.

  • Perhaps if you don't ask right from the start to cuddle and try to make some small talk to get to know each other a little you will have more replies.

  • I doubt it. I have asked numerous times to meet at the movie theaters which is just like "meeting for coffee"and no replies. Also, my messages are always very polite and respectful and the ladies could very easily reply that they would like to get to know me better, etc. I will take your advise, though, and make some small talk, etc. to see if that works. I doubt it, but I appreciate your advise and replies.

  • In general I imagine they don't want to ask you to get to know them first, because you are being too forward, and therefore don't reply. Had you tried to get to know them to begin with before even mentioning getting together for coffee, much less for cuddling, my guess is that your chances of getting a reply would go up, but still even then, there is no guarantee of getting a reply.

    And no, a movie theater is nowhere near the same as a coffee shop. A movie is someplace where people go to cuddle, and it is not conducive for getting to know a person, because you can't talk there. Whereas, a coffee shop is someplace very conducive to talking, but you don't usually see too many people cuddling there, making it a safer place. So there is a world of difference between the two.

    I think the best strategy is to start by telling the person in a PM a little bit about yourself and ask them some questions about themselves. I wouldn't bring up cuddling at all until you get some indication that they are ready to talk about it. You are both on a cuddle site, so it should be understood that the eventual goal is to cuddle, without having to bring it up to begin with.

  • Hi Jim;

    Thanks for the response, and I will introduce myself in future messages.

  • Meeting halfway or nearer to the pro or non-pro cuddler seems like a win-win. I've only been onsite here a few months, but I have noticed that responses are the exception, not the rule. As some have suggested, an introduction is a good thing. That said, I think pros and non-pros alike could do better responding, even if it's a "thanks, but no thanks." Courtesy goes both ways, people, and you get what you give.

  • You are so right. I do think it is a good idea to get to know the cuddler via coffee meet, phone conversation etc., That being said I reviewed several of my requests and all have been very cordial, polite, and friendly and like you for some reason very rarely get a response, even a thanks but no thanks response would be appreciated. What is even more puzzling is that I have sent requests to numerous professional cuddlers and they do not reply. For being so called "professionals" by not replying is very unprofessional. Cuddle Comfort is a great concept and will continue using but do not expect many cuddles if any at all which is no big deal. The ladies at Cuddlist and the Snuggle Buddies are very nice and that is a great option.

    Ed I would kind of agree with you on the other sites . I would place cuddlist as the flagship of pro cuddle sites and cuddle comfort and snuggle buddies exchanging second and third places intermittently
